The jury is still out on these. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and just got these a few days ago. For each of the 2 days I've worn them so far, they feel good on my legs but too tight on my belly. I'm 5'8" and ~170lbs and smack in the middle of the large on the size chart. I think they are sized fine, but there were times both today and yesterday that I felt like it was hard to breathe and I was getting nauseous, when nausea has not been one of my main concerns during pregnancy. Yesterday I ducked into the restaurant bathroom to pull them off from under my pants (before eating), and today I had to pull over on my commute to work to pull them down from over my belly. When I got to work I put them back on properly and lasted the rest of the day (until I got home - then they came right off). This is my 2nd pregnancy and last time veins weren't an issue. This time they started becoming more pronounced within the past month, after it finally occurred to me why the back of my legs were bothering me so much. The pain/discomfort isn't constant all day (yet??), every day, so I can't swear that the leggings are working. But I haven't felt vein pain while wearing them yet, which is a good sign.Despite the discomfort they've caused, I'm going to try to keep wearing them for now. I'm hoping that I just need to get used to the extra compression on my belly and ultimately they will be valuable in tending to my varicose veins.UPDATE:Okay, I've had these about a month now and I have gotten used to the compression on my belly. Occasionally, when I'm feeling bloated, they can get very uncomfortable, but for the most part I think they help. There were a few times where my legs felt extra restless/weak, and I put these on and almost instantly felt energized. When I take them off, my belly feels heavier too. They are supportive for sure, even for my lower back. There is one hole in them already, but I keep wearing them out of necessity. I just wish there was some alternative for the summer months - I want to wear shorts!!

***EDITED on 4/3/2015*** I still love these leggings, but if you are looking for a great, non-sheer version that are completely opaque, I found (and LOVE) the Blanqi High-Performance Post Partum Seamless High Waist Leggings!!!3/6/2015 - I read other reviews and decided to size up from what I would normally purchase. I am 5'9" and 140 lbs pre-pregnancy - currently 27 weeks pregnant at 162 lbs. I normally wear Small in clothing, but ordered Medium and they are perfect. I developed horrible varicose veins in my right leg around 20 weeks and originally was trying to use typical, full length compression hose. I know they are supposed to be tight, but they were TOO TIGHT. As in, the pain when wearing the compression hose was far worse than the pain I was experiencing from the varicose veins.I found these Preggers leggings here on Amazon and my first concern was that they wouldn't be long enough. At 5'9" they go completely to my ankles so I was thrilled. I think the "compression" aspect keeps them from riding up my legs and I do think these would be just as suitable for a shorter person. Secondly, I was skeptical that they would actually compress my legs and relieve the pain. They are awesome! Not only do they make it so that I am pain free all day, they are really comfortable and comparable to the comfort of my Gap maternity leggings. They ARE see through up by your butt from the back, so if you plan to wear them out, you need to have a shirt that covers your butt. This does not bother me though, as almost all my maternity shirts cover my butt. They are sleek enough for me to wear under pants, breathable enough for me to wear in hot Florida weather and are opaque everywhere but your butt (so they look nice when you wear them out of the house).I am going to buy a second pair this week. For any of you that are sick of wearing compression hose, but need leggings with some sort of compression, I highly recommend these (:

Leggings by definition are suppose to cover your assets if you know what I mean. These are very hard to get on and see through. So you have to wear another pair of leggings over them and I was overheating because of wearing two pairs of leggings. Compression is very very tight... Like think sausage casing tight. Yikes! Too tight for me! I would have preferred a compression legging that I can wear as a legging not another garment to take on and off with everything else pregnant women have to wear (belly band and/or support spanx). Disappointed. Not worth it.

While I realize these leggings are fairly inexpensive in relation to other maternity compression leggings out there, I still expected more for the price. I knew about most of the pitfalls from other reviews, but I was really disappointed that the second time I wore them, they developed two large holes in the crotch area. I sewed them up but I already see other areas that look thin and expect that I will have to mend them frequently, which is frustrating. I also don't like that there is a seam running up the center, and they are somewhat tight over the belly, but I am in the 3rd trimester. On the plus side, I really like the fabric which feels thick and high quality, but is still very breathable. These aren't too bad to get on and off and the compression is comfortable, but too light to make a miraculous difference in the pain from vein issues I've developed during pregnancy. That's probably my fault for waiting too long - definitely wish I had tried compression leggings sooner! As other reviewers have mentioned repeatedly, these are thin in the thigh/butt area so you definitely need to wear them under a dress or long tunic. They run a little small but if you follow the size guide from the manufacturer you should be fine.

Doesn't last more than 2 wears. Seams came apart and had to be re sown. Material is also quite similiar to a stocking eather than a legging.

Having worn them once as just purchased I'm very happy with the product.I'm 5.8 and uk size 8 and ordered a size M which fits perfectly. Not too short or too long, not too tight but not loose, with room for belly to grow. It doesn't slip so far and found them cozy to wear in colder weather.Must be worn underneath other clothing as bottom is slightly see-through
