This kit has helicoil inserts for all regular metric sizes that someone would need in automotive repair or general machining. It comes with all the tools and little bits, drills and adapters that one would need, neatly organizced in a storage case. This is a must have in any technicians box to be able to do a quality job when performing repairs. Can't recommend this enough! Note: Make sure you use some loctite on the inserts.

A few nice things I noticed off the bat.• The box is actual metal opposed to plastic - just not something you see too much of these days I like it.• The insert in the box while it is plastic is very thick and does not flex so everything stays where it should.The quality of the components at the price point is outstanding• The drill bits are straight and sharp - just a little rough finished but does not effect their performance.• Taps are sharp as well and are finished nicely• Insert tools - all the other tools are finished well and preformed nicely.I would say this is a great kit to have around the shop/homeworkshop as it could be a real time saver at some point.In the attached photos I ran one of the M8 inserts in a piece of PLA-CF plastic to check the thread engagements in both the coil to stand piece and coil to bolt. No problems so I will have no issues using these to repair the tank threads on motorcycles.

It showed up on time and packaging was good but the could are week and break when trying to put them in more than half the time. I did not expect top of the line since I was buying cheap but this is worse than I expected

I am very happy to have found this Helicoil kit available, and to have it in a metal storage case is a huge bonus IMO. It seems to be a high-quality product, with at least the drills & taps made from HSS. To have everything you need to perform a Helicoil repair in one location; Drill bit - tap - inserts - insert installation tool - punch to remove tang. Perfect! I highly recommend this set to have on-hand if your own foreign classic cars / motorcycles.The one thing I do not like about this kit is the Helicoil inserts themselves come in plastic bags. Once you open a bag - then they are now loose in the case pocket, so if you need to move the case - you better be careful to not tip the case or you'll be playing 52 pickup with all the loose pieces. IMO this is not worth deducting one star for an otherwise high-quality kit. YMMV

I have occasionally used these helicoil arrangements to repair stripped out boltholes, but always ended up buying a kit for a given size piecemeal. This has a lot of the sizes you'd want to use in one handy kit, in a nice sturdy metal case you can throw in your toolbox and be prepared for future calamities. Not a bad price for it, either. Tools are well built and don't show a lot of tool marks/machining marks, seem to be constructed in a quality facility. The instructions that come in the box are nonsensically translated, on a single smudged sheet, and written in tiny, hard to read English text, but if you've ever used a thread repair kit like this before you probably won't need them. That's really my only complaint about this - you get a lot for a little, and what you get seems to be of quality. Pleased overall.

Everything about this set screams higher quality than what the price reflects. Everything you need is included in a nice METAL case. I am super impressed. While things like this can take a lot of use before you can really tell how long they will last, I am pretty confident they will last a good long while.

This kit is handy! Easy to use with plenty of extras. It’s a pain when you don’t have this kit. Without this your task is done and you will spend a ton having to get new parts or a whole new housing. Get this to repair your threads and have it on hand before you need it.It has a metal case, which while thin metal, it’s nice to have. It’s a good price and I’d much rather buy this than have to buy new major parts because some threads got messed up.
