Your cart is empty.90 mil bucket made from FDA compliant High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE). A Gamma Seal lid adapts the bucket to a threaded spin-on / spin-off lid. The Gamma Seal is customer installed but may be pre-installed on the bucket for shipping efficiency. A rubber mallet (not included) is useful for installing the threaded ring to the bucket. The ring seals to the rim of the bucket with an O-ring gasket. The threaded lid portion then spins on and off sealing to the ring with another O-ring gasket. The O-ring gasket has a food grade silicone lubricant the helps the O-ring not to grab the plastic sealing surfaces. If this lubricant is removed through excessive cleaning, the O-ring can grab and stretch and loose it's retention to the lid. Plastic containers are rarely true. Leaving the lid snug for a period of time and allowing the several components to true to each other in a warmer room temperature environment can help with performance. For long term food and liquid applications we recommend a conventional snap-on lid with a gasket. The Gamma Seal shins in it's convenience. We like the Gamma Seal for applications requiring convenient frequent access. Gammas Seals are user installed but may be per-installed for shipping efficiency.

After losing my mind and ordering 50 pounds of AP flour, I decided that I had to have something safe to store it in, so I researched 5 gallon buckets with gamma lids. These seemed to be the best value, so I ordered 2. They arrived very quickly! Days before the flour. They appeared extremely clean, but I washed them out anyway due to possible handling. My research indicated that putting on the gamma lids was really difficult apparently. I read the attached instructions that said to fill the container first, so we did. The buckets easily held the 50 pounds of flour. My husband and I are both in our mid seventies, and we were able to snap the gamma rings on barehanded. We each to a quarter spot and leaned down and snap! They were attached. Not only do I appreciate the quick delivery, ease of application, and appropriate size of my containers; I am quite pleased to discover that this is a Veteran owned company, since my hubby is a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran. If you are looking for good value for your hard earned money and need gamma containers BUY THESE!

I have three of these (bought 2014/2015/2022). Two I use to store regular salt and calcium chloride for winter use. Salt is a dessicant and will turn slushy over time if not well sealed from moisture. The other is great for containing the ice w/5 gallon bag for brining turkey breasts overnight. Lid installation tip: try lining the lid up with the bucket upside down and have your heaviest friend sit on it. In my case, it was me. 🙂

These buckets are very nice. Just what I was wanting to keep my wheat berries fresh. The only thing is that the seal was very hard for me to get on by myself. But my husband and I together were able to get the seal on. They seem to be doing what I wanted them for. Happy with purchase.

This is just the bucket/lid combo I was looking for! I did some research and knew the lid was a must have. Once I started price comparing and weighing the options of having to go to stores and get the buckets but needing to order the lids online, it just made sense to get the combo. I got these to store flour in. A 50lb bag of flour fits into two of these nicely. They still stack on top of each other. I can see this being something I would get more of to store more bulk food items. The screw on lid really makes getting into them super easy and peace of mind knowing the lid is tight. I personally wasn't able to get the lid seal attached to the bucket as I don't have a rubber mallet, but my husband managed to just push them on with his hands. I will be buying more of the other colors for food products later.

Got this and dumped a 25lb bag of Jasmine rice into it. The rice is still good, no bugs got in, it is easy to access, and it lets us stock up on some dry ingredients. If you are looking for a place to store dry grains, salt, or even some wet goods, this will get the job done.

I love the ease of being able to open by unscrewing the lid, much easier than pulling on ot and then praying you got it back on...I would highly recommend this product. Using for my rice, flour, salt etc. Keeps it safe from bugs and moisture.

I love this bucket. Just what I needed to store grain. The lid took some time to get on, but using a rubber mallet and realizing that instead of trying to get the entire lid down at once, but rather working slowing around the rim was the key, I was able to get it securely in place.
