How to Washing Sheepskin – Important Points to Note
The leather side of the sheepskin is easily damaged by incorrect washing. The main points to note are:
1. Only use a mild detergent which is enzyme-free with no bleaches. Note many wool wash products contain enzymes which can damage the leather. Our Woolskin Wool Wash/Sheepskin Shampoo however is ideal. As an alternative, you can use a mild hand dish washing liquid for washing smaller items by hand.
2. Only wash in cold or lukewarm water (up to 40 C/108 F).
3. For rugs, underlays and car seat covers gently stretch to shape whilst still damp.
4. Hang out to dry away from direct sunlight.
5. For long wool products brush whilst damp and again when dry.

Doesn't feel quite right, pelt is long, and even though I read carefully through the description nowwhere did it say it came from China. The tag on the packaging as well as the rug it did say that, so I don't want it. I don't trust their treatment, and won't put a newborn on it.

Punky (snowshoe lighter cat) is very particular in a tactile way. This pelt has proven to be his absolute favorite thing! I put it on my reading chair, and now Punky spends most nights on it, in my bedroom yet not on the bed with me but on his favorite pelt. All night. He used to remain in the living room (I thought he was just too tired to be bothered to move) and this pelt totally motivates him. I'm so glad to give him the comfort he craves! I still use it to sit and read, I just have to shuffle these guys around and onto my lap a little and get them to share.

Beautiful genuine sheepskin rug I'm using this as a throw on my butterfly chair. It's plush and lush and absolutely sublime. It has a thick leather backing and the fur is incredibly thick and d ense. No funky smell or any odor of any kind there's also no shedding from this. Makes a great throw or a rug good for the price
