Love this mat. It’s huge! It’s pretty thick but not thick enough to use punches on (my work bench has a scar to prove it). It’s great for cutting leather!

I love the extra large size of this self healing mat. There are grids in centimeters on one side with an arch template and just a grid on the other. Love the classic black color as well making a very nice addition for my studio. It’s very well made and a nice heavy thickness. I highly recommend this mat.

This is an initial review, being written just after having received the product.Basic summary is that this is a nice looking mat that seems like it will stand up to lots of use.It has the makings of a fine product that will hold up against much more expensive brands. Certainly a value for the money.The mat is a rich matte black, no sheen or reflective quality to it. The pictures taken were done with a flash on.The white print is vibrant and the lines are crisp.Overall it looks very nice.The surface is smooth with a very slight texture providing for a good grip on a smooth desk/tabletop. It does not easily slide.The product seems very durable and sturdy. It is surprisingly thick at just less than .25" and is rather stiff but certainly does have some give/bend.The cutting surface is hard but has some give/bounceback.It has not yet been tested for self-healing properties.The mat has a slight warp (presumably from shipping) as it was sent in a box much too big for it with inadequate packing materials. I do not believe this to be the manufacturer's fault as it was shipped by Amazon.I will update if/when the mat settles and the warp corrects.The true measurements are 17.75" X 23.5"The printed rulers are accurate.

Just opened it, one edge bit warped from trip to our home but definitely expect it to settle, not a problem. Nice and thick so I think w/b an awesome cutting/measuring tool for me. love that one side has all the angles I might need as well. Definitely recommend

This is a great matt and it is huge! I ordered the 36" x 48" size because I cut/trim large prints and needed a large matt for a reasonable price. This fit the bill perfectly. However because my workroom is both my studio, mounting room, and small project room, I need my work table for multiple uses. My solution was to punch two small 3/16" holes into the edge of the matt so that when not in use it hangs on two "L" hooks on my wall out of the way. I use it with both knife and rotary cutters. Hanging it this way keeps it ready at a moment's notice, yet out of my way when not in use. Perfect item and solution.

I've realised (the hard way) that this mat has grid lines which are completely out of square, rendering it useless as a reference during cutting. When it arrived I did notice some bumps on the surface and the fact that the edges weren't cut straight - which I was willing to overlook to save on the trouble of the return process. However the grid being out makes it untenable for me. Avoid.

I bought this mat as others had not lasted long. Although it was slightly more expensive it is well worth the difference. It is well marked, I particularly liked the diagonal lines and the protractor for cutting angles. It is sturdy, clearly printed on both sides and heals well.
