Unfortunately we experienced a fire on the stovetop (family member was seasoning a wok and it went up in flames). As soon as the smoke detector went off and I realized there was indeed a fire, I chose the fire hero spray (we also have fire extinguishers) and it worked well and was very easy to use. There was mess, but much less than a traditional fire extinguisher. Very happy I made this purchase. It easily saved my family and house from a much bigger emergency.

I have not used this product yet and hope that I don't need to. But I bought this specifically for the Made in the USA. However, when it arrived packaging says designed in the USA and Made in China. So beware if you are specifically looking for a product made in the US.

I recently got 4 of these and placed them in appropriate places. They seem like they would be easy to use and hopefully I will never need to use them. One thing, they are on the small side, so probably would not be good for a fair sized fire, just quick & dirty spontaneous fires.

These fire extinguishers come highly recommended. They have a stop tab at the top that you need to break off in order to spray. It’s a small canister, easy to use for small fires. Not for electrical fires. We also bought two fire blankets. We will use one set of the fire extinguisher and blanket for camping and the other for the house (kitchen). This fire extinguisher is only 1/3 the size of the ones we are replacing.

For small areas that need extra assurance against fires these are ideal. I have mine in a metallic basket on the fridge, near the door and near the stove. Perfect for small apartments.
