It's an economical way to study the mammalian organ's structure and details, including the cornea, lens, retina and iris. The large size of the eye aids in the identification of the internal anatomy of the eye.
  • Mammalian Anatomy: Learn about comparative and organ anatomy with this cow eye dissection specimen by studying the similarities and differences of its internal and external structures against other mammals, including humans. This dissection specimen is also great for understanding the physiology, function of the mammal eye.
  • Versatile fields of Study: This preserved specimen is great for students studying biology, microbiology, anatomy, and zoology as it provides a detailed view of a mammalian eye that also exists in human anatomy. Mammalian dissection specimens are ideal for students ranging from upper middle school all the way into high school and college anatomy courses.
  • Plain Injection Specimen: Plain injection specimens have not been injected with colored latex so the arterial, venous and hepatic systems are presented in their natural colors. Plain injection dissection specimens are ideal for understanding anatomical structures without the aid of artificial highlighting, making them a more advanced dissection specimen.
  • Best Classroom Experience: Each specimen is designed to be used by 1-2 students. The preserved specimens are moist vacuum packed and sealed in one or more heavy mylar-coated poly bags. I would have given them 5 stars, except the photo makes it seem like you are getting 2 eyes. Otherwise, no problems.

My students and I loved that there was NO odor. Totally safe. There was a minimum of "fat" so not too much to clear off before dissection. The specimens remained intact for easy dissection.I would definitely use this company for dissection specimens in the future!

I used these for a STEM event, students enjoyed learning the facts about a cows eye and being able to see one up close.
