About this item

  • ADJUSTABLE RANGE: This water pressure switch can be set between 40-60 PSI and is used to control well pump systems to prevent both low and high pressure problems. When the pressure in the water line falls below the lower setting on the pressure switch, the switch tells the pump to start.
  • EASY TO INSTALL: For most systems with a pressure range of 40/60 PSI, the Pump Pressure Switch 40/60 has standard 1/4" NPT female threads. Installation and setup can be accomplished in minutes, please contact us if you have any questions during the installation process.
  • DURABLE DESIGN: The 40/60 psi pump pressure switch is constructed of heavy-duty silver-plated and stainless steel components to withstand the harsh environments found in pressure tanks and oil wells. The housing is made of high quality, high temperature resistant materials with a temperature range of -22°F to 257°F. Extended life and durability.
  • RELIABLE PROTECTION: The 40/60PSI pressure switch features a precision pressure-sensing diaphragm and snap-action switch that ensures that the pump starts and stops only when needed to maintain consistent water pressure.By automatically regulating water pressure, this cost-effective switch helps to reduce pump wear and energy costs compared to running the pump continuously.
  • RELIABLE CHOICE: If you have any question please contact us, we will deal it in 12 hours.

My well pressure switch had started randomly sticking, resulting in a gradual loss of water in the house as the pressure tank emptied. It was easily and quickly remedied by a couple taps on the relay. But it was getting annoying as it was almost a daily occurrence. So I got this 40-60psi switch to replace my old one which was at least 10 years old.Two things: 1) make sure you turn off the breaker for the well and switch. 2) make sure you close the valve and ALSO OPEN A FAUCET IN THE HOUSE to relieve the water pressure. I forgot the second step so got a brief shower in the basement when I removed the old switch and all the water in the tank fountained out!I used a 19mm wrench for the switch and vice grips to hold the riser pipe. The switch doesn't include any sealing tape, so you'll need that handy for installing the new switch. Disconnect the wires from the old switch, screw it off, screw on the new one, reconnect wires in the same pattern, turn everything back on, DONE.This new switch pressurized to 50psi once the well was turned back on. I'll update if I run into any problems, but as of now, all good!Recommended

Works great and the pressure settings are dead on from the factory... didn't have to adjust the screws at all.Relays like this a re pretty simple and this is no exception. It works just fine and as advertised for a fraction of the price. If it fails prematurely, I will update the review. So far so good though.

I finally fixed the broken pressure switch on my Red Lion RL-SWJ50 1/2 HP shallow well pump. 🙌This switch fit my pump perfectly! 👍 I've replaced similar switches on my air compressor before, so I knew how to install it. 💡 It was a pretty easy swap. 🔄 Came with those rubber grommets, but I removed one to connect it directly to the pump motor housing using the usual conduit. 🔌⚠️ Heads-up: Be careful not to overtighten the wires when you're screwing the switch back on. 😖 One of them stripped out on me. 😫 Other than that, the switch works great, and it was easy to adjust the pressure settings. 👍 I'm happy with it overall. 😊➖ One star less because the screw housing seem a bit weak (or maybe I just overtightened it a bit too much). 😕Note, no wiring diagram on the back of the cover like some other common models, has wiring on the box and just replace likewise as you removed it.

I installed this pressure switch on my well to get better water pressure since it has a 40/60 psi and the original one was 30/50 psi, Not only did it improve the water pressure in my house, it worked perfectly out of the box. Installation only took a few minutes. I didn't have to do any adjusting. If fact I had more trouble getting the 1/4 inch pressure hose off the old switch than installing this one.

Out of all the parts we've had to service in the 20+ years of living with a water well, the pressure switch is the one we have replaced the most. Even my teenaged boys know how to troubleshoot it and replace it, if needed. Several times ants have crawled up into the switch contact points and blocked the flow of electricity which makes the whole pump shut down. This pressure switch is a perfect fit and a good price to be able to keep an extra one on hand when needed, especially in the middle of the night when the hardware stores are closed.

Works as expected.Looks about the same as I get at the local hardware store and for less money. These go out every few years, regardless of brand, and I always keep a spare one so I can get the well back up without having to run to the store.Great item
