Let me start by saying I loved my Whirly Pop and gave a couple as gifts. However, this little machine has quickly replaced my Whirly Pop as my go-to popcorn popper. It is compact, easy to use, store, and clean. I've made batches with both the maximum amount of 1/4 cup of kernels, and with the minimum amount of 2 Tbsp of kernels. Both times I had about 8 "old maids" left in the bottom of the bowl. I love how the base nests into the bowl for storage, and the cord is stored right within the base. Fresh, hot, air-popped popcorn in about 2 minutes. By the time I've melted a little butter in the microwave, the popcorn is ready. I will be eating way more popcorn with this little machine than I was when I had to dig out the big popper. So easy! And it's fun to watch the kernels pop. Can't wait to use this when my grandson is over. Highly recommend this popper!

This works great for popping normal and hull-less popcorn. The later makes it great for kids who wear braces. It's fast, easy to clean and pops almost all kernels if you don't overload it.

I have tried many different types of popcorn poppers, and I can say without a doubt that this has been the best one so far. I have had this popper since March and I will never look at another popper. It pops kernels quickly with very little wasted kernels. Popcorn stays contained in the popcorn “cover†(which doubles as a bowl once the popcorn is popped and you flip the whole thing over) - no more flying popcorn kernels! There is very little to clean up, and it’s so easy to clean, especially since no oil or butter is used during the popping process - just air! And popping is quick - about a minute and a half for the maximum amount of kernels (just use the metal popping chamber as your guide for the maximum quarter cup amount). And the noise level while popping isn’t very loud at all.Make sure you follow the directions! DO NOT pop the popcorn with the lid on (which one of the customer videos shows). It could damage the popper by covering the vents. They need to be unobstructed to let the hot air escape during the popping process. (I accidentally left the lid on once and the pressure and heat built up, blowing the lid off of the popper halfway across the room! I was lucky I wasn’t in the way.) Once the popping is done, THEN you can snap the lid on to the top of the cover/bowl, so when you flip it over the popcorn bowl now has a base. It really is easy. The only detractor is that there isn’t an on/off switch. I though that would be a deal breaker, but I quickly got used to it.There’s not much more to say. Great quality, great performance, and a great healthy snack! And a great value for the money!

Was not sure of the rating that I would give this, the first time I used it, the results were not good. All the kernels did not pop. So tried it again filling the well with the full amount of kernels about 1/4 cup possibly a little more. This time it work wonderfully and has worked great ever since. Be cautious to watch and listen to the popper when popping stops unplug and flip so that the popcorn does not burn. Very happy to find this popper. Makes just the right amount and stores nicely. Very compact does not take up much cupboard space. I have used this more then expected. Love the fact that the top is your automatic bowl just flip after all is popped. Clean up is a breeze.

Works great. Quieter than I expected (from past experience with an air popper), probably because it uses heat in the little tray to pop kernals rather than loudly blowing hot air like the old style ones. My dog needed no-oil popcorn for a treat as she developed pancreatitis and regular dog treats are not allowed as they can aggrevate the condition. It makes a really tastey popcorn which I end up eating too.There is a lid for the container so if you want to keep the popcorn in it, you could put it on the bottom after it cools and then use Saran wrap, but I always store it in a Tupperware-style of container instead to ensure freshness. It is tiny and lightweight and very cute. It pops almost every single kernal. It seems sturdy. If you are a total neat freak, know that some chaff will get on your counter when you tip it over when its done, but to me the mess was minimal. You could solve that issue by flipping it over another container to catch it, or wait till it cools so you can put the cap on it.There is no off switch or auto-shut down so you must wait and then unplug it when it slows enough.

I bought this for my wife because she loves popcorn. We had an older style hot air popper that worked fine, but the design of it had it spitting popcorn and subsequently, unpopped kernels out a chute with a bowl placed in the fallout zone. The operation was less than ideal, unpopped kernels would rocket out past the bowl, and usually end up on our honey oak floor. We also have two small dogs that fully understand popcorn time. They both stay in the immediate area so they can get their chance at any stray popcorn. More often than not, they would find the unpopped kernels before we could, did I mention how lava hot those kernels get?Burned dog tongues are now a thing of the past. This new popper is perfect for her to enjoy just the right amount of popcorn without having the cleanup of the past. The little popcorn hulls do come out of the top to some degree, but in comparison, the cleanup is minimal. The machine works great, it takes just a few minutes from start to finish. The amount of yield is perfect for her, the microwave corn we still have(my favorite) would sometimes be more than she wanted to have. The machine stores well, cleans up easily, and is self contained as both the preparation vessel as well as the serving vessel.

Amazing popcorn maker. If you like air popped popcorn, this is the one for you! Takes up little storage space. Very simple to use. Follow instructions to the T. I add butter and salt after, so I dump the popcorn into a different bowl after to add butter and salt. Other popcorn makers leave a lot of kernels. So far, this one has left maybe two each time. When popping, popcorn moves upward and kernels bounce back down again until they pop. Box looks tiny when it arrives, but don’t be shocked. Open the box and follow instructions. Pops quickly, and cleanly. Easy cleanup. Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe the bottom part after it cools, and rinse out the bowl. Remember to leave the blue lid off while popping. Plug in to turn on, unplug when popping slows right down. Very light weight, no oil needed.

This popcorn maker is exactly what I was looking for! It fits in the cupboards of my RV. On the first test, it popped all of the kernels perfectly. It was easy to use, compact, and worked exactly as desired for my requirements. I'd highly recommend this product. It was pricey for a popcorn maker, but worth the money!
