Your cart is empty. The sealing ring fits around the inside rim of the cover and forms a pressure-tight seal between the cover and the body of the pressure cooker during cooking or canning. When installing a sealing ring, work it into the cover in four small sections, for example, top, bottom, left and right. Work it into the groove a small section at a time until it is fully in place. Place the cover on the cooker body. Put one hand on the top center of the cover and push down firmly. Open and close the cover several times.

I bought this to replace a leaking seal. I bought the original brand because the cheaper one did not last more than 1 year and a little larger so had to fiddle with to put it into the lid after washing. The new seal is great and includes a new rubber pressure valve too. If The fit is great and the pressure cooker is working normally and pressurizing. It is easy to install and a little dab of oil on the lid helps to close it smoothly.

I like how this is a genuine OEM part for my presto stainless steel pressure cooker. It fits perfectly, easy to install, no pressure leaks, and yes this is very durable if you store it with your lid off when not in use.

When my pressure plug disappeared, I was afraid I would have to buy a new pressure cooker. Instead I was able to buy a replacement pack and a new seal. My cooker works like new again!

This kit. Contains the seal for the lid and a new rubber stopper for the pressure valve. The stopper eventually wears out and the old lid seal eventually will allow steam to escape. Replace both to restore your Pressure cooker to like new condition.

This is a very well made sealing ring, seems like high quality. The old sealing ring that came with my old Presto pressure cooker (which was also made in China) appears to have been gnawed by mice, after I began storing the pressue cooker with the lip flipped over. Unfortunately, I do not see anything on the packaging that tells me what the new ring is made of. It is possible that these rings are made with vegetable oil which would appear as food to mice.

We have an older model Presto Stainless Steel 4 quart pressure cooker. The original rubber sealing ring had seen better days. It had shrunk a little and become stiff. It took a long time to begin sealing, with hissing, sputtering, and leaking until it finally sealed. This new Presto sealing ring is the same robust, rubber seal construction as our original! Quickly seals like it used to. Costs a little more than “knock-off†brands, but works perfect. Others do not! $15 every 10+ years is a no brainer. Stay with the original. Glad we did! Btw, they include a new rubber pressure relief plug. Ours had also become hard, and needed to be changed for safety sake.

This is a very good seal and i would recommend buying a second one for the pressure cooker because many years down the road you do not have to throw out your pressure cooker because after so many years all companies change the designs.

So far , it works perfect and fits perfect. I just don't know for how long it will be good. Usually those sealing rings are good for 4-5 months. That's why I bought 2 .
