Good repair but need to be modified for a more sturdy repair. I drilled another hole on the other side to make 2 holes and enlarged the original hole to accommodate a larger and longer screw. The original hole and the provided screw were too small that I think the repair wouldn’t last so I replaced it with a longer and bigger screw for a more sturdy repair.

Bifold doors. They’re some kind of compromise whose value is not always clear. Our washer and dryer are quiet inside their alcove because of hollow bifold doors. Over the years - and especially with kids - the doors have been yanked and pulled and pushed and abused in almost unmentionable ways. The result was that the MDF that holds the top pin had been chewed up and the pin no longer held the doors in place.Enter this lifesaving repair!!!Instead of having to replace the doors, installation of these plates renewed the hold by covering the old worn holes with a new hold. Honestly, this fix ranks up there with any genius home repair trick.

worked perfectly to cover the hole that had gotten bigger and the pivot would no longer hold . Must have if you got folding doors at home. a very simple fix. Saved me a ton of money.

Works fantastic and is a very economical repair option. For whatever reason the big box home improvement stores in Canada don’t seem to carry these. Their loss. Very simple product that works well.
