This is a bi-pass floor guide used primarily on closet doors. It has a stamped steel floor base with adjusting slots for the nylon guides to fit into. The nylon guides are adjustable to accommodate 3/4 inch to 1-3/8 inch closet doors.

This guide features a steel constructed base with nylon guide tips. It can adjust to fit either 3/4in. or 1-3/8in. thick doors. This style guide is used by Johnson Hardware.

This is cheap for what it is and works just fine. I don't like how shiny the metal part is but it feels sturdy though.

I ordered two of these and both packets were missing one of the two screws that should have come with it. Poor instructions.

I was blown away by the expensive price of the cheap plastic guides with hollow vertical guides. The plastic ones have a nasty habit of breaking when they are installed on carpet. They are not solid and break when flexed by the anchor screws when installed in carpet. When I spotted this one that was metal for a lower price than the plastic ones, my spider sense tingled.Their packaging shows that this is adjustable for various door thickness. But I just could not see it in the photos. So I grabbed a micrometer and double checked the thickness of the doors.All indications were that even if these are not width adjustable, it shouldn’t be a problem.I ordered one. It is well built with a solid metal base. The guides appear to be Mylar. This combination should make them last decades.There is no flex when installed on top of carpet. I very pleased with this for guide.I suspect that the pricing is the result of a slight error when they packaged as they are not adjustable.But if you don’t need adjustability, then stop looking and get your order in. You won’t find anything better.
