These are junk. The locking mechanism tends to bind up before it is fully engaged or retracted. The only way to fully engage them is to use the the hand mechanism and the emergency release on the other side at the same time. I have ordered similar items to these from Amazon before that were fine. Just steer clear of this brand.

The handle/lock is just okay, not great. The dial/switch to lock the door is fairly small which doesn’t appear so in the pictures. My contractor installed the handle/lock on my pocket door so there’s no turning back to find something different.
