Your cart is empty.This glass tea mug turns the act of brewing tea into an artistic presentation. Loose tea leaves are placed into the glass infuser, hot water is added and when the water reaches the desired color or strength, the infuser is lifted out along with all the loose leaves. The lid is turned upside down on the table to act like a coaster. The tea infuser is placed on the coaster to no tea drips onto your table. With its wide loop handle, the mug can be picked up and carried without fingers touching the hot glass. Tea flowers look beautiful in the mug, too and work best without the infuser. Made of lightweight yet laboratory-strength borosilicate glass that won't stain, the mug may be used on the stovetop or in the microwave and both the mug and infuser are dishwasher-safe. For the tea drinker, Primula also sells a glass teapot and packets of tea flowers, which are AA-grade green tea leaves and actual dried flowers that are hand-sewn into tight balls by artisans in China. After a tea flower ball is place in hot water, it will slowly sink to the bottom and unfurl into full "bloom." Some even have two different kinds of flowers that unfurl into a colorful spectacle and add flavor to the tea.

A few years ago I bought this cup at a store. I do not use the strainer or lid. I got so used to this cup. It looks pretty and feels light in my hand, it shows color of my tea perfectly well, the walls are thin and it is easy to drink from it, it is sturdy and ergonomic. Recently I noticed that a small crack started to form on the bottom. I was quite upset knowing that I have no replacement, until I searched.... Yes! Amazon has it. Thank you, Amazon! I got two!

Received my 2 sets of the 3-piece Primula tea maker set today - ordered it with Prime yesterday so the speedy shipping was fantastic! Both sets arrived without any breakage or cracks and I now have a set for home and another set for office.I used my office set this morning with loose-leaf green mango peach tea by Tea Forte and was a little surprised at how much "stuff" remained in the bottom of the cup after I took the diffuser out. But I will say that the stuff that is in the bottom of my cup pretty much stayed there and is of a "silty" texture so if I end up drinking it, that's not an issue.Overall I love the concept - easy to use and practical.While the cup/diffuser can withstand boiling water, I agree with the other reviews in that I would not let a child use the set and I will be careful putting it in the dishwasher for fear of breaking against another glass/ceramic item. Otherwise, with care, this tea-maker set will probably last for a while.I am most happy with this product and would definitely recommend it!

This personal tea maker set is comprised of three pieces, all made of lab-type glass: a mug, a filter insert, and a lid.You place the insert inside the mug, add tea and boiling water, cover, let it steep, then remove the insert: your tea is ready.The lid can be used as a coaster for the insert.You have to be very careful when filling it up with water: because the insert and the mug are made of the same glass, it's easy to miss the top of the mug and overfill, which happened to me the first time I used this. The funny thing is that nothing spilled... until I lifted the insert, and all the water above the mug line overflowed onto my table. Oops! Just pay more attention than I did.The set is packaged in a simple cardboard box. Out of the three I ordered, one arrived in smithereens (the shipping box was undamaged and the packaging undamaged). It includes a very nice flowering tea bud.This tea maker is easy to use, easy to clean and very convenient. Recommended if you like loose leaf tea.

The product itself, if it weren't for its fragility, is wonderful. Love the look, the easy of use, etc. I used it a lot for 3 weeks, but one accidental tap against a mug during a hand wash shattered the infuser into many tiny dangerous slivers of glass. This is the second glass mug set I have bought, the other one different manufacturer, etc. but broke by an accidental tap of the spoon with honey on it, directly into the mug of tea I was making. Glass infusers are not a good choice, and in fact, are dangerous, which is a shame. I now have two glass mugs without infusers. And to buy the replacement infusers online costs from teh same price as buying the whole set to even double the price!I am sticking to ceramic mug and infuser from now on.

This product is perfect or a single serving or one person. I use it in my office and the infuser is great, it holds all the sediments without leaving any on the drinking cup. It is also easy to clean.This infuser also does great even when push to its limits or used in styles that are not meant to be used. If you are familiar with "Yerba Mate" or "Mate" ([...]) this infuser works great for it. Granted, Yerba Mate comes with powder grounds and those sometimes get stuck between the holes but they flush right out with water or you can blow on the opposite side of the infuser to make those remains come out. Again, this wasn't design for mate style drinks BUT it still performs quite well.If you get something stuck in the middle, which i believe it would be rare, you can simply use floss to get it out.

At first, it worked well, as described, but after a couple months one of the slits on the bottom of the infuser had chipped which rendered the product useless. I think it had chipped in the dishwasher, so I don't now if it is really "dishwasher safe." If you only hand wash it, I would imagine it would have worked pretty well.

This is no frills, functional all glass tea maker set. Handle is comfortable to hold and does not get hot. All pieces fit well and I like that the lid functions as a coaster for the infuser. Infuser's design appears to be best suited for whole leaf teas.Now for negatives: I don't care too much that lid get's bit too hot to handle but I cannot quite get used to how infuser looks. Glass around the slits have chipped and I'm a bit concerned if some more can chip into tea (it looks as if the cutting tool was not sharp or spun too slowly to make the incisions).

Perfect!! Bought this because I have a teapot styled exactly the same from Primula, so I knew what to expect. Sometimes I just want to make one cup of tea instead of a whole pot, and this is perfect. For those unfamiliar with this type of glass, don't worry... my teapot is 5 years old and is still in perfect condition. It's simply a newer, thinner type of Pyrex-like glass. There was another style from a different brand that I liked better but I got this one because I knew I could trust Primula..

son 3 piezas todas de vidrio, es delgado pero no demasiado, no mantiene mucho tiempo la bebida caliente pero si el tiempo necesario para que lo tomes. me encanta para las infusiones. los hoyos del filtro son un poco grandes asi que deja que pasen algunos pedazos de hojas pero nada que sea un problema

Muy buena taza, solo una cosa, hace tiempo descubrà que me cortaba y no entendÃa con qué, me di cuenta que las pequeñas ranuras del colador son muy filosas y no estan limadas, me gusta mucho pero no es seguro para lavar.

Llego en tiempo y sin problemas, es muy práctica y luce muy bien en la oficina, el único detalle que yo mencionarÃa es que es un poco más delgada de lo que yo esperaba, por lo qué hay que cuidarla el doble, pero tanto la taza como él infusión cumplen perfecto con la temperatura.
