My painting instructor recommended this brush for a class I took in acrylics. I'm trying to become more loose in my painting and this brush really helps with keeping it loose. Handle is very sturdy and the brush heads works well on canvas. I've not tried any other surface yet, but plan to do so. I'd recommend and will likely invest in more Princeton brushes as I become better at my painting.

This is the first of these Catalyst brushes I’ve used and it feels great. I got the size 12 so it’s an inch wide. Feels sturdy in the hand, holds a lot of paint, has excellent flexibility but it bounces back like a dream. It will hold up to blending but, though soft, it has some stiffness to the bristle so an expressive blend looks pristine. I find that one of my favorite aspects of the brush is it’s versatility of mark making. It surprises me.

this is a great brush at an even greater price! shipping was fast and just as described. great for applying gesso or other thicker mediums!!

Hold a ton of paint. Keep their shape. Attractive. Princeton Catalyst boar bristles are my hands down favorites. Worth every cent!
