Product Description

More than 25 years ago, Princeton introduced its first synthetic sable brush to artists. These high-quality, short handle brushes have the best point and spring of all Princeton synthetics, making them perfect for watercolor painting. Our brushes are designed to drink gulps of water, paint supple strokes and retain their sharp point and crisp edge. The brush filament is made using varying diameters of synthetic sable fiber for terrific spring, enhanced color-holding capacity and a natural snap. This collection features an extensive range of shapes and sizes so you can paint everything from long, thin lines to intricate details to large areas with ease. Heritage artist brushes are more affordable than genuine sable and more durable and dependable than most synthetics hair brushes.

Absolutely lovely paintbrush. Great for washes. Even distribution of color, pigment, water, etc. Came wrapped nicely and arrived Undamaged. Fantastic value for the money less than $20 each. Holds a lot of paint and has a great capacity. Although it is synthetic, very much feels like a natural brush. It’s very soft, but it doesn’t shed.

I am a beginner at watercolor, but this product is recommended by several artists. So far, so good for me.

Princeton Heritage is my preferred brand for watercolor brushes and this one didn't let me down. The taklon fibers are durable and they hold plenty of liquid. Unlike a squirrel-hair brush, taklon fibers are springy and they keep their point for a long time. The fibers are longer than a regular flat brush so they hold a lot of water but you have to anticipate that they give under a lot of pressure. I highly recommend these and other PH brushes.

Has a bit more spring than some of my other flat brushes. I like it better for some painting applications - like grasses.
