The first time I used the grainer it was with payne’s gray. The lines were nice and even. I had to wash it using soap three times to get the gray out. This is a good inexpensive line of brushes.

This brush is really well made, substantial weight that feels good in the hand, and the bristles are perfect for grassy things and adding texture to your landscapes. I need a smaller one now!

Typically I love the quality of these brushes. My last order was a problem as the brushes were wrapped in a plastic bag that was too short and the hair bristles were ruined.

The brush is helpful for painting grasses, instead of trying to do it with a thin brush and many strokes, this does the job with fewer strokes.
