Transparent & Clear Waterslide Decal Paper Operation Steps:
Step 1: Print Image
- Use inkjet printer, adjust print settings to high quality print, let the paper dry for at least 3 minutes after printing.
Tips,
- Print on the glossy side of the decal paper.
- No need to reverse (mirror) the image.
Step 2: Acrylic Spray
- Spray an even coat of the acrylic spray over your image. Allow it to dry for a few minutes. Apply two more coats to make a total of three coats. Let the paper dry for at least 10 minutes.
Tips,
- Place the printed paper and the acrylic spray in a well-ventilated space.
- The ink would dissolve in water if you do not spray the image at least 3 times
Step 3: Cut Out Image
- Use scissors to cut out the image that you want.
Tips,
- Do NOT cut too close to the edge of the image, leave out a 2 ~ 3mm of spacing.
Step 4: Soak In Water
- Submerge paper into the water for 30 ~ 60 seconds to separate the base paper and the transfer membrane.
Tips,
- Wet the surface to place the decal on for easier decal manuever and positioning.
Step 5: Attach and Remove
- Take out the soaked decal and place onto a desired surface with the image side facing up.
- Use your fingers, a damp cloth/paper towel or a squeegee to remove air bubbles and excess water, then slide the backing off.
Tips,
- Do not take off the backing paper before placing.
Step 6: Dry
- Let the decal sit and dry for at least 3 hours
Tips,
- Do not expose it directly to sunlight during drying.
- Ceramics need to be baked in an oven at 230℉(110℃) for 10-15 minutes
- NOT dishwasher safe and must be cleaned by hands gently
- Extra coat of epoxy resin can be used on the finished decal for more protection and gloss.

This was my first time using a water slide decal. It was easy to use and looks great.Tips: Use 4 to 5 layers of acrylic and don't use warm water. My first attempt smeared. I applied more acrylic to the second one and used cooler water. It went on great.

I have been buying this decal paper for years and will continue to! I use both the transparent and white paper to make nail decals. Works perfect! The print quality is always good(I use 2 hp printers) even on my regular printers. I use krylon odorless sealer to seal the decals!

I bought these to make mugs with but in the end it did not work well for that as the larger decals stretched too much. That said I got great results with smaller decals. I found that 3 coats of Rust-Oleum 2X worked great. 5 minutes between each coat and then you can apply the decals after only 10 or 15 minutes.

The decals worked out well, but there were these two issues:- Using a laser printer, the quality isn't quite there. The red is very faint. May be worth wile buying an inkjet.- The decal shrank more than I anticipated. I applied some decals to the inside of a circle and they shrank so much the decal pulled away from the surface and left a half inch gap. I ended up having to cut and apply the decal in 20 small pieces instead of one. It was a huge hassle and I'll be trying another brand to see if it's an issue with these decals or just decals in general.All that said, for the most part, they worked just fine and I'm not unhappy with the purchase.

I used this paper to make water slide graffiti decals for my Dioramas. Very pleased with the results!Easy to use and priced fair.

This decal paper showed a lot of promise, but the fact that it is a custom size (8.3" x 11.7") made it impossible for me to print it successfully. My printer just wasn't taking the custom size. No matter how many times I changed the setting, the preview would show that it was printing correctly, but then it would print vertically instead of horizontally on the page (my image was horizontal). The difference between the size of this paper and a standard 8.5" x 11" is so negligible that you have to wonder why they want to make it this size to begin with. I wasted my money on this. If you don't want a nightmare, do yourself a favor and order a standard 8.5" x 11" paper size, which I've already done. And it's a shame, because the image that did print (wrongly) looked really vibrant and colorful. But your printer will freak out. Avoid that.
