Haven't had to use it yet, and hopefully I never do. Looks cool, nice solid case.

After purchasing a Cyckit saddle bag to offload tools from a pack to the bike, I started looking for a tubeless plug kit that was compact, yet sturdy, to fit. This one fits nicely and was happy it was made by Pro Bike Tool, being known for very good quality for the money. I've not actually had to use it yet but it feels very well built and will make for an easy job.

Update 11/2/21 - After leaving my review, customer service reached out and offered to send a replacement. I am glad to see Pro Bike Tool standing behind their product. I updated my review to 4 stars. It is a great looking product but the thread design should be updated to account for the fact that this thing will always be vibrating while on the trail and the top tends to shake itself loose after a while. I would like to see some kind of locking mechanism added to keep the top from shaking loose. Until then, I'll keep this item in a zipper pocket in my pack.Original review:This product is an example of style over substance. The polished metal body looks great and is small enough to easily store on my bike or pack. Unfortunately the top comes off too easily. I had this stored in my backpack for about a month. Every once in a while the top would be detached so I would have to screw it back together. This past week it came undone again but this time the top fell out of my pack somewhere on the trail. Pro Bike Tool won't replace the part so I'm left with a tire repair kit with no insert needle, making it useless. I like the company's tools but will be shopping elsewhere now due to their poor customer support.

After doing a 75 mile fondo through rough asphalt and some gravels, my tubeless setup gave in to some punctures. The tires did held up through the ride, but I noticed about 3 days later that my rear tire pressure is somehow leaking faster than normal. I inspected the tire and saw 4 punctures, 1 is so big the sealant is not able to plug it. I bought this repair kit to plug that one "big" hole, I used the brown bacon as it looks to be the right size for the hole. A day later, the pressure loss is about 2 psi from 50psi. I then rode that tire for 55 miles to check its integrity and to flatten the poking bacon. The tire now loses 5 psi every 3 days and settles at 40 psi thereafter. Not bad in my experience of tubeless setups. My rear tire is a slick 650b x 38.

I've had to use these on the side of the trail and once in the garage when I discovered a whole in my tire. Each time, they come through without fail. I've ridden with one in a tire until it was time to replace the tire.

I have several Pro Bike Tools, and I can say they are generally built very well and a good value. This kit is no exception. It's been in my road bike seat pack for over a year, waiting for the day it would be called to duty. A few days ago I got a puncture on a Conti Grand Prix 5000s 28c tire. It would hold air up to 50psi, but beyond that a stream of sealant would be ejected. So I decided to plug it with this kit, using the small "bacon" strip. My first observation is that the insertion tool holds the strip quite high up, such that with a low profile road bike tire, the tool bottoms out on the rim before the strip is fully inserted. You have to hold it on an angle for full insertion. Not sure if this contributed to the next issue, but perhaps. After plugging, it seemed to hold up to 80psi. I went for a quick 5 mile ride to test.. all good. So then I went on a longer ride. 8 miles from home the repair started leaking hard. I hobbled home by stopping every mile or so to pump it up. I then bought another brand of repair kit that has little brass studs on the end of the plug. I've been on two long rides since then, and so far it's held up fine. Saved a new $80 tire it seems. So in my experience, maybe not the best choice for road tires. I don't run tubeless on my mountain bike, so I guess I'll save this for the garden tractor. :)

This is a beautifully made and functionally superb tool.Is a nice small compact size and being a metal case means you can shove it in a bag without worrying about the contents getting damaged - important as it could be a while before you need to use it.Feels super solid and the handle is a good size that allows a firm grip and easy twisting to secure the plugs in the tyre.Comes with a generous number of repair strips (5 large and 5 small) so should keep you on the road for ages. For anyone who hasn't used one of these kinds of kits before and may be a bit sceptical you have to give it a go. It's SOOOOO easy to use and saves loads of time - no removing the wheel, no getting your hands filthy. Once you've used it you'll never go back to tubes.Added a couple of photos to show size as was really pleased it was more compact than I thought it might be

It's neat and small and tucked away in the bike bag - hoping I don't have to use it!
