I bought these for a water based polyurethane finish, but decided to test one on a piece of plywood to see how it performed. I have used a number of foam brushes over the years, but they are generally pretty flimsy and wouldn’t have survived painting plywood.I expected the foam to shred, but it really surprised me. I know the brush is intended to be disposable, but I cleaned it so I could examine what it looked like after painting rough plywood. Rather than shredding, it had slivers of plywood embedded in the sponge. That is a really tight, strong foam to do that. Looking forward to doing the finishing work with this.

Well made, used them for marine spar varnish to smooth out the bubbles after rolling, no problems with oil based paints and a good price.

I used these brushes to stamp paint into the split areas of my old wooden fence. I was pleasantly surprised with how durable they were! The angled tip was perfect for the hard-to-reach crevices. The foam held a lot of paint, but it was easy to apply evenly with the sturdy handle and wide brush. Washout was quick and they could be used again. Glad to have a few left, these will come in handy for many uses!

Good quality, a little to porous for my liking. But still works well and great price!

I purchased a gallon of metallic paint for a complementary wall in my bathroom and it called for these brushes for getting the luster from the paint. They were very inexpensive and and you get a lot of them. Highly recommend.

Imagine trying to do detailed work with a sloppy sopping wet sponge. That's exactly what these offer. There's no way to control how much these sponges absorb or apply. Nor can you control how it's applied since it's flaccid. Even tipping the very tip into the finish and trying to wring it out on the side as possible with a brush doesn't help. Drips and globs all the way. After wasting over $100 in finish and 100s of hours sanding down to try and try again, out of mere frustration I tried returning these, along with two other sets. The seller acknowledged receipt of the other two sets, but not the third dropped at The UPS Store at the same time. So I can't even get a refund. DON'T BUY! Save a lot of money, in the long run, and a lot of time by buying a brush, or a sprayer.

Using these for quick woodwork paint jobs for sealing, and painting. It's not great for oil based polyurethane, but worked fine for water based for simple diy projects. However, I'd recommend a finer haired brush for higher end projects.
