Works fast. Also, I can unplug it and take it to the other half of the house, and continue. Basically works like a central system. It doesn't follow you around, but I find it very handy.

I received a vacuum as a gift that did not work. They replaced it after a video showing it did not work. This company has one of the best customer service I have ever dealt with. I got the replacement and it works great. Surprised at the suction. Love it.

I have mixed feelings about this only because I presupposed what I was intending to do with it, and that is namely to use it as my bedroom vac. The cord is 8 feet long, and the vac hose if you stretch it is 5 feet long. If it had wheels it would follow you along but it doesn't. It has a handle cutout so you can lift it up from place to place. If you stretch the vac hose the unit can fall over.The real upside to this is when you use it in the kitchen because it has a unique feature in that you can sweep up the floor, and bring the debris over to the Gavasto and it not only sucks it up, it even senses if a broom touches it, and automatically turns it on.Turn it on with the first button on the left, and then simply hit the middle button. You see an oval light up. Nothing happening yet. In this state and it turns on when a broom touches its face on the floor edge or if the hose is unparked from the base it has a switch on it knowing that and turns on the hose vacuum instead. You could look at it like it's an advanced system with a dual function, or a more complicated one which is different than a simple on-off switch.If you want to use an extended hose you can use a 1 1/4" fixed tube which is the hose size, but I found that the attachments to that fixed hose no longer work because the small end goes into this units hose, and then the attachments need that same end, and it isn't that way.To conclude. If you have a kitchen with a hard floor like tile it makes it easy to sweep it up, bringing it over to this unit and it automatically gets sucked up. No bending over with a dust pan. It's that simple. It's not huge either, but rather compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space.UPDATE: I revised my review to 5 stars because after getting to use this I realized I love it. It reminds me of the super suck system I had in woodworking class in high school. It is powerful, and really does the job. One quick sweep and the pile on the floor disappears. I was befuddled by the controls, but now realize it is a breeze to operate. Touch the left button to activate, and then touch the center button to get it ready to suck up the floor debris. Then you just gently touch your broom to the side of it and the suction turns on turbo charged. Makes me want to sweep the floor in the kitchen more often. It's great.

I got this to replace our old upstairs vacuum, which was meant for pet hair and had a horrible loud whistling noise from the hose. Well this one isn't as portable, and the hose doesn't reach as far, it's amazing for haircuts, which isn't too surprising since I think that's what it was originally designed for.I cut my hair in the bathroom, didn't have to pay attention too much to wear my hair was falling and every soft and I would just take a moment and sweep the accumulated hair over to the vacuum and voila it sucked it all up!It's going to take a little bit for the kiddos to get used to this one instead of the old one. I'll have to show them how to carry it carefully and attach the hose wand but it's definitely a worthwhile upgrade in my eyes.Plus I can quickly sweep around up there and just it'll get sucked up I don't have to bend down and fuss with the dustpan which let me tell you sometimes it's the little things that make life just so much better.Just want to point out that even though it's in the picture, I did not receive a broom along with my vacuum. )
