I initially did my truck with the aerosol spray cans. That was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. The spray tips on the cans would get clogged and / or come unseated. Then the lanolin spray would just ooze down the can. And then a greasy can became MORE difficult to use. In my rage, I hurled several (empty) cans. But this sprayer worked perfectly, and easy, and quickly. I'm mad at myself for not getting this first.

When i first started out with this gun it wouldnt spray. You have to have the silver tip on the gun for it to spray if you are not going to use the longer hoses... Just screw in the silver tip just enough to hold it but not all the way in, as the instructions tell you.Do the same with the longer hoses if you use them. It seems like it helped not filling up the plastic bottles all the way because this clogged up the little holes on top of the gun that are above the bottles.Keep the little holes open.Keep the bottles about 3/4 of the way full. I ordered a gallon of wool wax and it came in on a 95 degree day.I added just about two regular home spoons filled with vegetable oil to help thin it just a little bit more.I easily used a funnel to put the wool wax in the plastic bottles. I did the inside of a truck frame with the wool wax.The single longer hose with just one hole in it really moves some product. The shorter hose with the 360 degree nozzle worked well, but be patient. It has many holes in it so is doesnt seem as if its working in comparison to the longer hose with the single hole in the nozzle. At first I used the inside of a trash can to spray the wool wax to make sure I had the gun working properly. If your using the 360 degree shorter hose....just take your time.....I went back after using the 360 degree nozzle and checked the inside of the frame,it was completely covered It was amazing. So there you have it....if you do these things you should have no problems. Also keep the white plastic guard on the gun,it keeps the wool wax from shooting back up into your face. When i first used it with a plastic bottle completely filled,it shot out of the holes and into my face because I didnt have the plastic guard on the gun over the holes, but that was my fault because in overfilling the bottle,I clogged up the holes.Wear your safety glasses. What I loved is that the wool wax didnt leave a greasy residue on my hands and cleaned up easily. Whats amazing about wool wax,is that its a wax.I dont know what else is added to the wax,if they do add to the wax but there was no smell.I would wear a simple dust mask if you do not have adequate ventilation, not because it smells but to keep from breathing it. Some automotive sprays which loosen bolts have a terrible odor.Since there is no odor with Wool wax ,I can continue working in the garage no problems. Its amazing to look in the frame and see its completely covered inside! The shorter 360 degree hose was long enough to manipulate inside the frame, using the exhisting holes in the frame to get complete 100 percent coverage.I didnt need a longer hose. I didnt need to put any tarp on the garage floor because there was little to no overspray doing the inside of the truck frame. If you just use the the gun without the hoses under your vehicle, there still probably wouldnt be much overspray. Wool wax is amazing.I cant see how the inside of the truck frame could rust now.You want some truck with your Wool Wax????Wooooooo!!! lol

This gun is extremely well-built and easy to use. The included instructions are very clear and helpful. Having three empty bottles is great: fill them all before you start and change as needed. I used about 3/4 of a gallon of Surface Shield to undercoat my F-350 crew cab truck. You'll need a 1/4" NPT female thread air plug on the handle of the gun in order to attach it to a standard air compressor hose. I used a 6-gallon 160 psi pancake compressor at 80 psi and had no trouble spraying straight from the nozzle and with the cavity wand. It puts out a very powerful, flared spray for good coverage and makes the work go a lot faster, especially compared to using spray cans. Wear a Tyvek suit with a hood, especially if you'll be under the vehicle on your back like I was. I also wore chemical splash goggles. If you're thinking about going the cheaper route and undercoating with spray cans, think again. This gun provides far superior coverage and is a lot faster.

Pros :1.Spray gun build quality is very good2.If you happen to damage the spray gun some parts are replaceable by the manufacturer.3.Spray gun was packed ivery well by manufacturer.4.Plastic containers worked with spay gun perfectly no leaks at all.5.All containers had lids6.Spray extension wands are construcked good and worked well* (well not perfect for a reason)6 Extra little gifts in the box were niceCons: nothing major only one1.Extention wands are longer than the shipping box ,so they have a slight curve to them out of the box.Best to put them out in the sun so they can go back to their natural state to be used properly, if not you will fight with them a bit when using them in chambers like rails for even coverage.Tips.1-Try and wash under the vehicle first to get rid of dirt under the vehicle.(let the car dry over night or givevit two days if possible)2.try and scrape off any pieces of loose rust that are big or thick for best penetration of the film you will use.3.spray inside cavities like in frame rails and put very thing coats in doors if possible4.Main nozzle dont screw it in all the way only put it in 3 , 4 ir 5 threads in for best coverage. Also set your compressor to 50 -70 pai max for spraying on a small 5 gallon pancake compressor and on any compressor larger like 30+ gallons set it to 50-60 psi for best even coverage.good luck5.Try and keep the product warm prior to pouring it in the bottle for best flow.Remember thin even coats and DO NOT go to a car washes afterwords or any time as long as the film is on and have them wash under your car.Btw the product i used was Spay Shield by blaster,But Fluid Film and Woolwax as well as NEUC will work as well with this spray gun.GOOD LUCK ALL.ðŸ‘👌

Only had the opportunity to use this on one vehicle so far and it works very well. Consistent even spray with the straight nozzle however I’m concerned a bit about the lack of flexibility and short length of tubing for spraying inside the frame etc …. not a serious problem as long as I’m able to replace it rather easily.
