I tried the enclosed mouthpiece and reed, and then a Vandoran M30 and Vandoran reed. Neither could play the upper register at all. I tried a mouth piece and reed from a Nuvo Clarineo. Played great! Good tone and playability in all ranges. Can get a Nuvo Dood/Clarineo mouthpiece and reeds from Amazon for less than $25.
