This is a great product and worth the investment if you have a need for it. The readings are practically instantaneous and accurate when compared to other products. The instructions aren't the greatest but understandable after a couple of reads.

I'm fairly unimpressed with this. I put it on a 27 uSv source for an hour, and the dosimeter function measured half that over the hour. No clicks either like a regular counter, if you put this on a source, it takes a few minutes to stabilize with the right reading, but after you take it away, it takes a couple of mins to go back to zero. It's clearly sampling and taking an average over a couple of mins. I bought another brand which looked similar and had the same issues. This one does seem to be more accurate on the real-time reading as compared to my expensive geiger counter, so there's that. This might be OK for a kids science project, but not for real scientific work.

My dog as an amputee is really sensitive to radio waves and I wondered if there may be excess radiation in the space, which could also cause amputation pain. I haven't reached a conclusion yet, but it is a genuinely interesting question because we are told that the radiation from our phones and our computers, and the microwave are at safe levels, but that's only considering them individually, not aggregately. So, I intend to measure the radiation from each device I am exposed to and add it all up to put forth a solid answer. This geiger counter measures with a sensitivity that allows it to help me with this project. The sensitivity is more than adequate for measuring minute amounts and helping to know in the event of a radiation emergency, what levels one is dealing with. I hope to never need it for that purpose. But another interesting thing is that my power company sends out a flyer every year explaining that radiation can seep into basements. That may be radon - but I'm going to check the basement with this as well anyway. Highly recommended.

I don't have any known radioactive material to test this with, but it seems to work fine. Detecting a background radiation of .10 to .20 micro severts. The refresh rate seems high, and all the functions work, including a time graph.Perfect gift for a 10 year old in a vault-tech Vault (That's a Bathesda Fallout reference).

Got this for a trip to Japan. Can't say if it works yet, but it gives me confidence sitting there with my "go bag". It offers multiple alarm types and an easy-to-read LCD display. The device is portable and multifunctional, making it ideal for various applications, I would assume. I'll give a more functional review after I pull off a James Bond type mission near a dirty bomb. Truly though, for certain areas of the world, this thing could be a literal lifesaver.
