Q: What is Mason line?
A: Mason's line, also called a Mason's twine, is used to create straight lines and a level surface. It is needed when laying out posts, patios, footings and more. A mason's line is necessary when doing these projects because you will not have to pick up the level so many times.

Our 18-gauge line with an approximate tensile strength of 168 pounds. Mason line is used to quickly and accurately ensure mason is level. 100 percent nylon. it is not easily damaged by other tools. About 100' into the brand new line...a tied knot!.. I hate it when guys tie knots in my line.. now they're doing it straight from the factory.
