About this item

  • Foliage Green Frame
  • Clear and Smoke Grey Lens
  • 100% UVA/UVB filtration
  • Battle Tested

Battle tested in the most demanding theaters, the ESS Profile NVG is the only authorized goggle issued by the U.S. Marine Corps. It is also issued by the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, many NATO governments. Created with direction from elite U.S. Special Forces groups and more widely used than any other military/tactical in the world, it has all the advantages of a low-profile, night-vision-compatible frame without sacrifices in dust filtration, field of view, impact protection, or anti-fog performance. The extra-thick, 2.8mm polycarbonate lenses offer maximum impact protection and 100% UVA/UVB filtration. ESS' advanced Clear Zone FlowCoat lens treatments provide the optimal combination of anti-scratch coatings on the outside of the lenses and anti-fog coatings on the inside. The universal-fit Profile NVG is durable and easy-to-clean, featuring anti-microbial OpFoam face padding for added comfort. The Profile NVG is U.S. Federal OSHA compliant and meets and exceeds ANSI Z87.1-2010, the U.S. Military.22 caliber ballistic impact test MIL-DTL-43511D (Clause 3.5.10) and CE EN 166. All Profile Series lenses provide 100% UVA/UVB protection and distortion-free optical clarity. Profile Series Laser Protective Lenses (LPLs) are available. The Profile NVG kit includes the Black Profile NVG Goggle, Clear Profile Series Lens, Smoke Gray Profile Series Lens, Terrain Tan Speed Sleeve, Goggle Soft Storage Case, Flannel Lens Sleeve, User's Guide and ESS Sticker.

These were a waste of money. They should not state Night Vision in the title.Don't waste your money on this.

This is my 2nd profile NVG.I like all the features it has, although i really expected my first one would last a little bit more than it did, especially if you consider that i purchase for civilian use (ride a motorcicle) and it has a military grade and it's also auth by US ARMY and USMC for military use.The anti fog coat is gone after i cleaned the lenses with water only. The soft foan that is the contact with your face (which is really confortable) dried and felt apart after one year (of civilian use),together with the foan, that works like a"filter" against dust. While it last,it works great, but as i told above,i'd expect it lasts a little more as it is a military grade product, but it still have great features and it is true! That's the reason i purchase my second one.I only hope this one last more the my first one.

They are fine as goggles. They arrived without the smoke gray lens listed in the product description. Bought them on a whim. Not sure why they are called night vision goggles. Maybe you are supposed to have an infra-red light source to see at night? As is, they are glorified sun glasses. Okay for paint balling or skiing, I suppose. But that is not what I bought them for.

I got the kind without any foam lining where it meets my face. Even after ripping the foam around the vents, they still fog up when standing still. I had a tan used USMC version that was better than these. These came in legit looking packaging, but I suspect that they could be fakes due to the fogging issues and the way the vent holes in the frame are cut.

Excellent quality. I wore it playing airsoft in 30+ degree weather. No fogging. Lenses easy to change out.

So what NVG's are these compatible with? I've searched all over and all the NVG's I've seen have their own head straps and rubber eye covers so I'm not sure how or for what reason you would want to mount nvg's over these glasses. It seems pointless. Can someone show me these goggles with NVG's mounted over them? Curious.
