Works great on #35 chain so far, if you’ve never used a chain breaker before probably watch a video first so you don’t bend or break the punch. I’ve only broken 4 links with it so far but everything looks good.

I bought this tool to break my old motorcycle chain when I was replacing it and at first, the kit seemed to be a good deal. 13 pieces and the kit was compact. The kit doesn't come with instructions to use the tool but the pieces are identified inside the kit. My first attempt to use this tool, the pin broke like a single strand of balsa wood. I tried a smaller pin and when I was applying pressure on the pin and turning the handle, I took it slow since since the first twig I tried broke like a glass snake does. EVEN though I was careful, taking it slow, the second pin snapped as well. I may as well have never bought this tool because once the pins broke, I was back at square one trying to find a way to break the chain but now I built up even more frustration with this failure of what is supposed to be a tool. My advice to anyone looking for a chain break/rivet tool, keep scrolling pass this product and save yourself the frustration.

I used this on a standard dirt bike chain. To fully break the chain I had to use extra wrenches for more leverage. It worked on breaking 3 separate chains without breaking.

This tool works as intended. If you are using this on a 520 chain or greater, you should grind down the rivet head first. And then use the tool properly.The video shows an incorrect way to use it. The press should be screwed much further down. You should only see just the end of the push pin. This will keep you from breaking or bending the pin.

The price is what attracted me to this. After using it several times for installs and disassembly the tool doesn't show any hard ware or shrooming on the pins like other setets I've had. I like this one...

The tool itself functions but the pins aren't exactly straight and true when pushing Rivets out the pin goes in circles so u have to work around it until it's in the inner seam the handle provided to turn the tool began twisting and bending like a spaghetti noodle when attempting to flare head of pins had to use a piece of hardened steel to squish them to the proper spec quality could have surely been better but I was able to manage

Low price and works. Replaced the chain and sprocket on my BMW 800GSA with this and worked great. Had to youtube how to properly use it but was super easy and did the trick.
