Saw these used in a Bluegrass Video on Youtube, so, I looked at the reviews and chose these. After receiving them, pulled up a few videos online to play along to and they worked as advertised. I even tried them out on my Cajon, but, the bigger ones would work for that. These even have a nice feel and sound on my hi-hat. Purchased them so I would be able to play and practice more quietly.

I am starting to like playing with these more than the sticks they are weighted really nicely, and give good sound and response, just a little quieter.

It’s ok. It does the job with keeping the noise down but it doesn’t feel good to play for me anyway. The first time I used it, I broke one of the dowels. Could have been my fault for hitting the drums harder (subconsciously) in order to compensate for the lower volumes.

I just started playing with a couple of guitarists that play a lot of acoustic music. But even when playing their electric guitars they keep their volume way too low.....that in itself is quite surprising. Anyway, I tried playing quietly with regular sticks (too loud) and brushes (too quiet). These HotRods fit the situation perfectly. The red version is pretty close in size to my usual 5B sticks. I can not comment on their durability or longevity as I have only used them for 4 sessions. I suspect they wouldn't hold up well if you wanted to play death/speed metal quietly but then who would.

Love these. Great play. So fun. Especially if im trying to keep it down a little. Heavy hitters will destroy them, but I think they're worth a little TLC.

もとは自宅練習用に買いましたが、ライブでもジャンルによっては使えます。なんか、某稲葉さんが某せまい会場ライブ番組に出られたとき、ドラムの人がこれを使っていて、とても素晴らしい演奏をされてましたよ。普通のスティックとは持った感じも、叩く感じもがかなり違うので、慣れは必要だと思います。

Avevo già comprato delle spazzole simili di un'altra marca però. Queste costano un po' di più ma pro-mark è una garanzia. le ho trovate molto buone bilanciate e resistenti. d'altra parte se le usava David grohl devono essere resistenti per forza

Ich habe deise Rods gekauft um die Lautstärke des Schlagzeugs bei akkustik Sessions zu reduzieren. Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und problemlos. Die Rods erfüllen ihren Zweck und liegen gut in der Hand. Am Anfang hatte ich bedenken, da ich oft gelesen habe dass Rods relativ schnell kaputt gehen. Doch ich kann mich nicht beklagen. Die Rods haben noch keine größeren Beschädigungen erfahren (abgesehen von ein paar Kerben) und erfüllen auch weiterhin ihren Zweck. Besitze diese nun schon seit ein paar Monaten und nutze sie regelmäßig. Von daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite.
