I have a 10,000 sq. ft. area of thick, agressive Bermuda grass I'm replacing with fescue/ bluegrass to match our region's climate. So I bought the Sevenmeet torch and a 20 lb. propane tank. In order to keep the tank level, I made a rope handle for carrying. The tank is not too heavy, because the torch's long hose allows me to set the torch down and treat a sizable area before moving on.At first the piezo-electric ignition did not work. So I loosened the single mounting screw at the base of the electrode. Then I held the electrode's end directly in front of the edge of the gas exit tube (in the direction of gas flow) and tightened the screw. This shortened the spark gap to about 1/8 inch; now the ignition button works perfectly.The first day I only needed to use the standard flame (not pressing the turbo lever). The fuel lasted six hours, and the tank still feels fairly heavy for even more use before refueling. So I am impressed with the fuel economy and overall effectiveness of this torch. Highly recommended.

It is one thing to shovel a few inches of snow, however, when there are a few inches of ice, it is much more of a challenge. I purchased the SEVENMEET Propane Torch as a possible solution. It did a very nice job making a way for our cars and it made us safe from slipping and falling. One thing I do not like is the starter for it which never worked at all. I simply used a long lighter to start the torch.

I couldn't light it up in the beginning as it is my first time lighting up a torch. The manual actually teaches you to put the burner face downward so that the gas can accumulate for the ignition with the gas valve. Then it works seamlessly. Good pressure with the frame. Use it to start the BBQ fire even for the wet wood. Nice!

The flame starter does not work ! Used for the first time on 1/12/2025 to remove ice on side walk ! Had to use a lighter to start it the external starter does not work ! Will never buy again !

Got this to predominantly dominate the weeds overtaking parts of my yard. Might be overkill but using it to start my barbecue is nice too.

This torch is powerful and heats up quickly. It works great for both killing weeds and lighting a charcoal grill. It burns through weeds fast, but make sure to wear gloves, a mask, and avoid flip-flops or shorts for safety.
