This tape is a multipurpose tape that I have many uses for. I also have it in a bigger width which is multipurpose also. I use it for so many thing, too many to list.

This tape is perfect! Super sticky and high quality it works beautifully for my stretching of watercolor paper on plexiglass with my 9x12 Arches 300lb non-block paper. I use 11x14 plexiglass hubby got me from Home Depot that is thicker and doesn’t bend. Be careful if you decide to try this version of stretching watercolor paper to use thicker plexiglass to ensure the paper doesn’t warp. Also sanding the edges of the plexiglass may be necessary as they can be sharp enough to break skin. An alternative to this practice would be the Arches 300lb block as it keeps the paper from warping already. However you can’t have multiple paintings going as you wait for them to dry unless you have multiple blocks of the paper to use. Remember, though, to remove the tape away from the paper to avoid the paper fibers from ripping off as you remove the tape. This is vital if you want a nice edge or to save your painting.Also I have used this tape for other things and the results are always great! Very pleased and will reorder when needed.

I use this for customizing things such as shoes, notebooks, etc and it’s perfect for sticking to anything and not allowing any bleeding to go through but still the adhesive is soft enough it doesn’t leave any residue behind when it’s pulled off.

I am the worlds greatest painter, and am a licensed contractor in California for over 30 years. I am a one man operation and have likely painted more homes inside and out than anyone on this here earth. The people that complain about this tape expect to pull it out like duct tape. WRONG! The way to use this tape is to gently get your leading edge pulled out from side to side and than start pulling it out for length. This tape saves me a ton of time masking instead of having to pull two strip of 2" tape, this takes me on pull and also covers face plates with one strip. Perfect for not having to pull tape and paper for shooting trim with an airless. Don't listen to the unskilled that give bad reviews because they are not coordinated enough to start with the leading edge completely pulled out. Be gentle, and forceful at same time. Do not toss this tape around and damage the edges, any masking tape will cause you problems if you ding the side of it. Great stuff for sure! And now weeks later from my original review, they jack up the price by 4 bucks per roll. Not going to pay that for a roll of tape BYE PROTAPES SHOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN GREEDY!

I have been doing this faux brick wall in my room and needed 1/2 inch tape (not common size) so I ordered some that was different. It did NOT wanna stick. I ran out and had to buy this and MAN I wish I had bought this the first time! It sticks better, no residue, and works great! Buy this one!

Before switching to Gorilla Tape I first bought this roll in January 2016 (for $9) and it worked well! I was able to easily tape down the edges of the wall that were not supposed to be sprayed, spray paint the rest, then easily remove the tape for clean edges. The adhesive was also strong but not strong enough to peel paint or anything more solid than dust! For being of a good quality and sold at a great price, the “ProTapes Pro 795 Crepe Paper General Purpose Masking Tape, 60 yds Length x 1" Width, Tan (Pack of 1)†gets a serviceable 3/5 stars!
