The Velcro on the various straps (sides and shoulders) is wide and provides for a wide range of adjustment. The vest material is a stiff rough canvas, so you will definitely want to wear something underneath or it's going to rub you raw in some areas. But that also means it's tough. I'm sure it will soften up a bit after use. Wearing a shirt under it will also help keep your sweat off it as much as possible, but I don't see any reason you couldn't wash this vest. There doesn't seem to be anything that could be damaged...all very tough. Washing it might even soften it up a bit.The front and back have plate carriers, if that is something you want. The pockets for the plate carriers have substantial Velcro to keep them closed tight. If you are using with paintball, you probably don't need to put anything in there, as I am sure the paintball energy will dissipate with just the canvas, but you could also put a hand towel in there to reduce the feel of the hits too.

This Outdoor Protective Vest is a top-notch quality product, offering great adjustability and lightweight comfort. The description says it will fit sizes S-XL, unfortunately I found it too small even after attempting to adjust it—I guess I'm more of a 2XXL (?). The good news, however, is that this vest fits my son perfectly, making it ideal for him doing airsoft paintball or Halloween cosplay, or something like that. Although I can't use it due to MY sizing issues, its durability and design are impressive. So, I'm giving it a solid 3/5 stars, maybe even 4, for its quality but caution to those who are on the larger side...

This vest is priced at about $20 at the time of this review. I ordered it mostly out of curiosity, to see if it might be a hidden gem. Well, I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the overall quality of this vest. The material is very stiff and rugged, but that is ok to me. I'll be wearing a shirt under it anyway. It feels like it will stand up to a lot of abuse. I have only had it for a week or so now, so I haven't had a chance to do a lot of runs with it, but I have had zero issues so far. The straps all work good and hold the vest snug without slipping. The weighted plates stay in place with no issues. (The plates are mine btw, they do not come with the vest.) Speaking of which, yes the vest does have large 13"×11" pockets on the front and back. These can be used for weighted plates to provide resistance during a run. The fabric and seams seem tough enough to hold up. Overall I am very impressed that one can purchase a carrier vest for $20 that is functional and reliable. Maybe not the most comfortable vest out there, but it'll hold some weighted plates very well without sapping the budget.

This is a cool vest that I intend to use for weighted workouts. Came nicely packaged and was able to size/set up in a matter of minutes. The quality seems decent for the price and curious how it will handle the weight of plates for harder cardio or HIIT workouts. Overall, the velcro and stitching seem of good quality and frankly, really impressed for the price! I'm over 6 foot and this is a bit tough to get over my head but it works! Decent quality for the price.

For less than $20 you can own a tactical training vest. The Velcro has a really strong grip for better security around the body. Not design for tactical use and has a pocket front and back to add training plates. Material seems rugged and well made for the price.
