Allen Tech PTFE tubing is made of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene),PTFE tubing can be used in extreme temperatures and in harsh chemical environments. It's chemically inert, has low permeability, and has the lowest friction coefficient of any tubing. Temperature range is -450 to 500°>F; melts at 620°>F. Allen Tech PTFE tubing is UL-recognized (Flame rating: UL-224 VW-1), Excellent resistant to acids, alkali and all kinds of organic solvents: ASTM D543, and Raw materials meet FDA requirements per FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 for use with food contact surfaces. The PTFE Teflon tubing with a 2mm ID and 4mm OD for 1.75mm filament proves to be an indispensable component for 3D printing enthusiasts. The 5-foot length provides ample material for various projects, ensuring a smooth and consistent flow of filament. The high-quality construction of this tubing, known for its non-stick properties, minimizes friction, preventing clogs and enhancing the overall reliability of your 3D printing setup. Whether you're a novice or an experienced maker, this PTFE tubing is a crucial accessory for achieving precise and uninterrupted filament extrusion.

This is good to run between a spool (or filament dryer, like I did) and an extruder, as it's very loose and won't add appreciable drag while your extruder is pulling the filament. Because it's less draggy, it's better for this purpose than what you'd place between an extruder and hot end. However, it's useless for a "regular" Bowden setup (between extruder and hot end.) The ID (inside diameter) is too wide, allowing the filament too much freedom to move around at random angles, effectively changing the amount of pressure according to where the nozzle is, and that's no good. I tried that and found that it lead to weird inconsistencies in finish, especially at the top layer. So, for a regular bowden setup, use something with a slightly narrower ID.

I bought this to use as a reverse Bowden on my 3d printer and it works great. I chose the 4mm OD 3mm ID so there would be less restriction in the feed to the direct drive extruder. I haven't tested it with flexible filament like TPU but I imagine it won't give me any issues.

Running on a Bambu Lab P1 Series. It's pretty much more see-through than other PTFE white tubes, very useful when loading/unloading.I use it with normal 1.75mm filament, absolutely 0 drag its very slick.Wouldn't suggest to print TPU with this as its not tight fitting, for the diameter mentioned above, but for pretty much anything else its a dream for printers extruder parts. No stress on components when pulling at all.HOWEVER, it is very easy to kink/bend.. if you try. But if accidentally create a bend they give you so much ft just cut and use more.Thermally is ok, I print ASA and chamber temps get 120F inside, and the filament in tube does not feel that heat so it is stiff while it runs through as should be.4/5 starts - (due to tube not being as stiff, not a serious issue at all, but can't say it's perfect)

I topped mounted my AMS lite on my Bambu Lab A1, but I found the existing tubing for the back filament to be a little bit too short. I was able to use this to create the perfect length and its been working great for my A1.My P1 tubing was in need of replacement, especially since I have been doing a bunch of glow in the dark filaments which destroyed the interior lining of the tubing. This worked perfectly as the replacement, I was able to cut a custom length that allowed a bit more length, which makes it easier to load from an external spool.

Started having some issues with the stock PTFE tubes used with my Bambu 3D printer and AMS, guessing they just got worn down from use. But just in case I swapped to this slightly larger ID tubing hoping it'd reduce the resistance a bit, and it still fit all the fittings just fine and things seem to be working great, so it's at least as good if not better than the stock tubing.

I was having trouble with my Bambu P1S, poor first-layer adhesion. Finally tracked it down to too much resistance with the more expensive tubing I had installed. Swapped to this 3mmx4mm and the filament has far less resistance. Just what I was looking for. Yes, this can kink easier than the thicker tubing but that has not been an issue for me. Also, the thinner tubing makes it easier to see the filament in the tube. The packaging is large and thus the tubing is not wound tight, this causes less curve memory when you install it.Overall very happy with the quality and value.

Tubing is as advertised. Make sure to opt for Amazon packaging.I ordered two rolls. One was fine, the other was completely flattened rendering it useless.
