So far we are impressed with these boots. Bought them for a gelding who overreachs when turned out and has lost several shoes because of it.Knock on wood we,haven't lost any with these on. Very thick where it counts but,expand at the top for when I pull them on and off.

Great quality. Heavy but will last much longer and provide better protection in turnout.

I’ve purchased these in the past too. The thickness is great for protecting the heel. They last long (at least on my horse) in terms of durability; she is hard on bells (clips them, gets close to others and they step on them, etc.), and these have lasted the longest of all I’ve tried.

Look thicker and heavier than other pairs we've used. Have been on for 3 weeks without being ripped or torn off. So far so good.

After 3 weeks of solid wear in the field and riding on my 3 year old Thoroughbred (size large), they don't have a chip out of them. I can't say the same for a similar style that was not double thick. Yes they are a little heavier and a bit more difficult to put on, but they are already lasting longer than the last pair. I will only but this style from now on.
