About this item

  • 20K Trailer Weight
  • A Capture Plate Is Required To Activate The Sliding Cam
  • 14 Inches Of Fully Automatic Slide
  • Hitch Stands 18.5 Inches To Top Of Hitch Plate
  • Locking Jaw Closes Automatically Around King Pin

SuperGlide is the only real solution to safely and efficiently regain that 90 degree turning capability. It's fully automatic, so there's no getting in and out of your truck to throw levers before and after turns like you have to do with other manual slide hitches. With 14 inches of slide during turns, the SuperGlide quickly moves your trailer away from your truck cab without you having to do a thing.

Pullrite Hitch! Buy it easy to install took me by myself 20 minutes. Works smoothly as advertised. It also takes the chucking out of your towing.

Very high quality, quite heavy, could sure use a way to lock it to the truck though.

I just had a catastrophic failure with this hitch. The welds holding a tubular piece failed, the hitch tore off my tailgate(it was still attached to the kingpin), and the nose cone of the trailer crashed the rear fender of my truck. I had already traveled over 400 miles on this trip, connected. the welds showed some corrosion within. this all happened on a minor two lane asphalt road as I was making a slight, 30' turn at 5 mph. If it had happened on an interstate, it would have taken out some other folks. CHP, the tow truck operator, and a respected hitch vendor all say this unusual. I would like to have contact with pullrite to iron this out.

I purchased a newer pickup for a trailer-tow vehicle, and the old hitch wouldn't fit in the new truck, so I needed to get a new one. This represents an updated version of the hitch that I had in my older truck, which pulled the heavy trailer thousands of miles. I purchased the hitch, the in-bed rails, and the pieces that bolt onto the frame under the bed. I installed it myself. The only difficult part was torquing the large bolts that secure the mounting brackets to the pickup's frame under the bed. I borrowed a huge torque wrench, and a long extension for 1/2 inch drive, and got to work. With some help from a friend (holding back-up) I got the bolts to spec. It is quite the task to get this system into - and out of - the back of the pickup bed, but even that operates to your advantage. You aren't likely to see a young hoodlum running down the street with this system under his arm. Just sayin'.

The clearance is great and I have a 44 foot camper being pulled with a 2019 2500HD.

I purchased this to handle my new fifth wheel. This is one substantial piece of metal, very high quality, heavy and with instructions for installation you can read. Very happy with this purchase, however, I will not be removing this as often as I did my earlier hitch because of the weight.

We had a catastrophic structural failure of a Pullrite Superglide in September 2024. The welds holding the upper plate to the shaft failed and the hitch, intact with the RV, smashed into the tailgate. The upper plate was welded to the shaft using four small tack welds. We hired a certified weld inspector identified that one weld was not intact, one was less than 25% and all four were not of adequate thickness. In contrast, the lower plate, which was undamaged, was attached to the shaft using full circumferential welds of significantly greater thickness and quality. Why Pullrite did not install full welds to secure the shaft to both plates is baffling and the sole cause of the failure. We provided pictures of the failed welds to Pullrite and they indicated that it was due to lack of maintenance and lubrication. We have always done the required maintenance and lubrication as required in the owner’s manual which is evident by the lack of wear and damage on the Way Tubes and the upper, lower and shaft wear plates. Pullrite made the “maintenance and lubrication” determination without investigating or factoring in the conditions of the wear plates and Way Tubes. Buyer beware our hitch worked for 5.5 years of frequent use with no issues until the welds suddenly failed. Pullrite refuses to stand by their product and they have inadequate design, poor manufacturing, lack of quality control and no concern for the safety of their customers and the public.

My specific application would probably benefit more from the 3100 model. But ordered the 2900 bc it fit standard rails. IT WORKS GREAT!! Love it!
