Let's face it, the 1/4 inch Jack socket you're using in your guitar and your pedals was designed in the 19th Century for patching phone calls. The new Pure Tone jack makes those old crackly 1/4 inch jacks obsolete!
The Pure Tone jack contains dual tension grounds and dual positive tips for optimal signal and lowest possible noise. Greater surface area at all contact points creates a more stable connection, locking the cable securely in place and carrying more signal; as a result, high and low frequencies are greatly improved creating a much more balanced sound while eliminating frequency spikes. Most importantly, the Pure Tone Jack eliminates the infamous “crackle” noise caused by pressure grounds and fatigued metal tabs. Never thought I’d admire such quality in a jack input but wow. Great quality, tight tolerances and about as easy to install has your knowledge on soldering goes. Will be using these whenever I need to replace input jacks for sure.

This is the best cable connector ever. Sick of pickup crackle? This will fix it. Buy a bunch, and this will make that a distant memory.

Output jacks are a ‘wear item’. Over time the contact will become less positive as the spring tension decreases with continued use. And this always leads to the snaps, crackles, and pops, that annoy us all. Pure Tone found the perfect solution. Contact from two directly opposed points. If one is slightly looser than the other, the other takes that load, ensuring positive contact.Eventually these too may wear out. Even spring steel will loose spring tension over time. What I suspect will happen is that one day, a thousand years or so from now, rather than a snap, crackle, and pop, it will simply stop working altogether. Until that long away day… they’ve solved the problem.I’ve swapped out the output jacks on all my guitars & all my amps, and I’ve yet to hear a single unwanted noise. These are the best jacks I’ve ever found. And they’re less expensive than half of the ‘usual’ jacks on the market. Why would you NOT try these???
