Vet recommended for our orphan foal. In 10 weeks he has grown at the same rate as a mare-raised foal, and is very healthy and energetic. The price is high, but not much more, $ per pound, than uni-milk or similar from the farm stores, and far superior as it is made only for horses.Raising an orphan will require at least 5 buckets, or 100-lb, but you may require 6-7, until fully weaned.

Had an orphan foal in 2024. He loved this liquid gold. No digestive issues with it, no issues getting him to eat it. There was some issue with shipping from Purina, new packaging or something. That was my only issue, but I don't think that's the seller's fault, and they communicated well with me when asked, and kept me up to date.
