If you don't know, birds are the most sensitive pets you can own. They cannot be around smoke, scents, or chemicals. Their water sits around for hours in a dish, absorbing anything the dish is made out of. Water in a porcelain dish can absorb lead from the color, glaze, or clay itself (and anything else it was made from depending on country of origin). Water in a metal dish absorbs aluminum. You can drink out these because the amounts are tiny to your body. Your dogs and cats can too, but birds are tiny and their extraordinarily high metabolism means just a hint of something bad makes them ill, so I do my best to keep my babies as healthy as possible. And after hours of research, glass, especially Pyrex, is the safest, most inert material you can have water in for birds. These custard cups have just enough weight to them to not be flipped-over by smaller birds, and the ribbon top makes them non-slippery for bird feet. Pyrex really needs to re-market these for bird owners.

I have a lot of these because they’re so versatile. I use them for individual portions of desserts to appetizers and dips. They are dishwasher safe so they’re easy to clean. Because of their durability I’ve also used them in the microwave with no problems. I originally bought 2 sets a few years ago and my sister loved them so much I gave her a set. So naturally I had to buy more. These really are my go to bowls for various things.

I've used the pyrex 6 oz. custard bowls for decades. They're perfect for condiments, kids portions, and cat food. I have bought about 40 of them over the years, breaking 30 in the process. So I went to buy more, didn't read the description, and bought an 8-pack of the larger 10 oz. size instead. Other than kicking me out of my comfort zone, they're fine.The packaging and everything looks like the smaller size. If I could change anything, it would be that the product listing would make the size more obvious. But the mistake is mine, and I accept that. For the rest of my life I have to live with this mistake, accepting the guilt and blame every time Fizzy Pop the Cat is hungry.

I purchased this item because it was made in the USA and I use them all the time, I think I use these everyday they are wonderful for a quick cup of soup or a dessert or a bowl of fruit.They're made well dishwasher safe and they're made in the USA which is very important to me. QUALITY!

Finally I was able to purchase these. They used to sell them in London drugs and Canadian tire but now nobody seems to carry them in store. The size is 10 ounces so it is perfect for everything and anything. They last forever as Pyrex quality is the best.

These are the perfect size bowls for everything. I have an old set from 20 years ago that have held up beautifully. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
