I needed a pie plate and quickly. The options on Amazon were vast but a bit pricier than what I was seeing at Home Goods. I wanted a glass pie dish and the store I was at only had the fancy enamel ones for $10. So I assumed a plain glass one would be available at a good price. I found this combo 2 pack offering to be the closest to what I wanted and it came out to about $10 each. I was desperate as I needed more pie plates for holiday pies.The standard dish is just that. Reliable Pyrex pie plate like the ones I already had. The surprise was the extra deep pie dish. Wow! At first I was frustrated as that dish was not a great option for a pumpkin pie.It has been 2 months since I got this combo pack and only used the standard plate once for a pie. I have used the deep dish several times for many reasons. It is amazing and I never would have thought of it. I baked pasta and veggie dishes with it. It is a great bake to serve option. Wow a deep dish quiche.... yeess. I am so happy I picked this and really I did because of the price point. Other sellers wanted up to $20 for a Pyrex clear glass plate. Silly.Classic product with good quality and a surprise size you did not know you needed in your life.

Value of this set makes this a good gift idea. Pyrex has long had a good reputation for bake ware. I'm still using my Mom's pie pan, and that's over 50 years. Still looks like new. The larger dish is perfect for casseroles. Fits in my toaster oven; which I use all the time. I like the fluted edge of the pie pan. So easy to hold. The clear glass is easy to see how my pie crust is browning. The glass holds heat well.

First I made a serious mistake. When I bought this Pyrex set I thought the shallow pie pan could also be used as a domed lid for the deep Pyrex pan, Creating a small deep Pyrex roaster for a turkey breast, small roast, several chicken thighs, etcetera. I was very excited until it arrived. The deep dish cobbler dish and regular pie pan could not be used as a roasted by turning the pie pan over and using as it as a lid. Before I returned it I did check on line to see if Pyrex offered a proper lid, No. Pyrex is missing a good thing by not offering a lid with this set. Then I checked my lids for other pans. The lid to my Tramontina Triple clad stainless pasta pot fits perfectly. Have since used it as I had intended, A small Pyrex roaster and it is even better than I had hoped. chicken thighs or breast on a bed of dressing came out with golden brown, crispy skin, meat so tender and juicy it was perfect. That said this us a great little set. If you happen to have a compatible glass oven proof lid you have a great small roaster that may become a star in your kitchen.

These came very well packaged. The glass is thick and each pie plate will make a good size regular pie or a deep dish quiche. I can't wait to use them!

It’s a good deal for the two together, I just didn’t really need the smaller pie plate. Love the deep dish plate for doing things like quiche or pot pie as I like a high filling to crust ratio.

Faut juste faire un peu attention le pyrex" extra profond" c'est en fait aussi clairement moins large et donc même si c'est 60% plus profond, c'est pas du tout "nécessite 60% plus de garniture"!Mais pour les tartes faut faire attention: une tarte "profonde" cuit en effet nettement plus lentement! Je l'ai appris à mes dépends lol!Bref je laisserais le pyrex "large" uniquement pour faire des tartes, et le pyrex "profond" uniquement pour des mets repas, comme par exemple une quiche au jambon.Alors si on cuit à coup de 2 tartes à la fois, vaudrait mieux acheter ceci en double directement.
