I never knew how these air pillows were made until I watched the video. I was always paranoid that if someone was blowing into it and were sick, that they'd be transmitting that to me. I mean, using a machine doesn't completely eliminate that, but there really should be some kind of rules to follow. I mean, think about how many people can get infected if just one worker's germs got into the air pillows in one Amazon fulfillment center? Amazon must use a TON of these, so yeah, someone should get on that. The best-case scenario is that we get a zombie apocalypse, but I swear I will be really upset if I start out as a zombie on day one- All because of an infected air pillow...In any case, with enterprise efficiency comes enterprise-level pricing. They give you a free 300mm test roll, but if you're a heavy shipper, then you'll need refills, which run from $55.99 - $80+, depending on size. The good thing, though, is that you can customize your air pillows to your box by buying smaller or larger pillows. This way, your product is packaged professionally instead of being cushioned by a roll of newspaper and that one old, partially deflated air pillow that you were saving for months.Another thing that you have to realize is that the machine has to warm up before it can seal the bags. You're not going to be able to turn it on, use it right away, turn it off, then 20 minutes later turn it back on. The volume of your shipping will determine how you use the machine, whether to use the machine when you have a pile of boxes or just leaving the machine on all day. Either way, this definitely beats saving all those air pillows from your Amazon boxes, which are probably taking up like 1/4 of your garage and upsetting your spouse or partner.As far as zombies go, I maintain that the best weapon is a polearm (like a spear) and a fence. You can just stand behind the fence and dispatch zombies all day. Hollywood's got it wrong! I mean, who's crazy enough to walk within biting distance of a zombie just to dispatch them with a knife? Useful for shipping small, delicate products. This machine has significantly minimized the use of packing peanuts I used to be dependent on. It took some trial runs with the supplied film roll to get it set up properly. I don't have a crazy amount of volume, but the speed is mroe than enough for me. The machine is quite small, so I can relocate it to various workstations based on what I'm shipping. The resulting air pillows are uniform in size, although the thickness will vary depending on the film utilized.
