I've ordered many shorts on Amazon over the years, looking for that right brand that would fit me well, and I wasn't satisfied until now. They were either too long, too short, too tight on the waist, or made poorly with flimsy materials. This one meets all my requirements. I'm short and the 9" inseams of the shorts made them just about right: just below my knee. The cargo pockets are zippered, not velcro, so some people might be disappointed if they wanted velcro. Not using zippers instead of pockets makes the cargo pockets less obvious, yet still functional.Pros:1. Zippered cargo pockets - makes the pockets stand out less2. Elastic waistband - quite a lot of leeway for waist sizes here3. Decent material. Not too thin, but not too thick for the summer heat.4. 9" inseam - The shorts won't come down to your shins.Cons:1. Some people may prefer velcro closures to zipper closures for the cargo pants2. Not made of cotton.

I bought these for “White Night†on a cruise but quickly realized the fabric is very thin and if they get wet you will have no secrets from the world. Nice and light but buy underwear that’s white so your wife won’t get uptight.

Wanted to get my fiancée some dressier shorts for the cruise & he loves these.He has a bit of stomach so likes the elastic on the sides & all the pockets.They look nice & he says they are very comfortable.Ordered other colors.

I have purchased these twice now for my adult son. He loves them and I think they look nice. They don't ride up where the legs come together.
