Our hall closet is where we store our coats. From light jackets to heavy winter coats, we have quite a number hanging in there. I have to admit that the plastic hangers in there are all bent out of shape from the weight of the coats. I decided it was time to do away with the lightweight plastic ones and replace them with wooden hangers.I ordered this set of 10 gray wooden hangers, and am quite satisfied with them. Unlike plastic, they have a swivel on on the hook. They are sturdy, and don't flex when I hang my biggest winter coat. The slightly forward bend design means that the item hugs the hanger helping to prevent slide offs.It only took my wife a few minutes to change out the closet hangers, and the plastic ones, most of which were bent out of shape, are out in the trash. She must have felt the same about the plastic ones as she didn't even give me a chance to put them up.

Nice quality hangers, sturdy and smooth. They work great for the heavy coats in my coat closet. I took off one star because the strap notches are a little rough. They seem almost like an afterthought, as if they were cut out after the hanger was already sanded and varnished: they aren’t as smooth as the rest of the hanger and are not varnished at all. For that reason I wouldn’t recommend these for hanging snaggable clothing. (Granted, I’m a bit perfectionistic, but I sanded the edges of the notches before hanging my coats, just in case they might snag the linings.)
