I bought the 12” for night catfishing. They hold up heavy cut bait just fine and the lights are very bright. You can also buy batteries that are rechargeable.

I used the 12 inch with a 3/4 oz weight for catfishing. The float barely shown out of the water. I switched to a 1/2 weight and still had the same issue except with such a light sinker it didn't even want to sink the bait. Not for me, returned.

Only one of them floated properly. They did not bob in the water upright as they are supposed to. All the lights worked and were nice and bright.
