I have a very old tempur-pedic 8 inch mattress. The original zipped mattress cover was stained and it was time to be replaced, but tempur-pedic no longer makes 8 inch mattress covers. This one however fits perfectly, was easy to use and was 1/3 the price. And buyer beware as though the tempura-pedic website says the one they sell is for 8-16inch mattresses this means it is way too big for the older 8inch models and scroll down their reviews to see how many people said it was too big and gave 1-star review. Since this mattress cover states can use mattresses 8-11 inches there is only a tiny bit of excess that is not bothersome- not too "crinkly." As I haven't spilled anything on it yet I can't rate "water resistance" but I can rate the "softness" and "comfort" as excellent and I really appreciate how the zipper end tucks in nicely under a velcro flap of fabric.

This cover is to protect the mattress from spills and accidents. The inner side of the cover is a soft vinyl with a microfiber exterior. The zipper was smooth. The cover fit loose but I assumed that is if you want to use a mattress pad under it. There is a slight crinkle noise, but no one who has slept on it complained. I had one of these for 10 years and it worked great, so I bought this one as a replacement. As far as thickness, it is thin but thicker than most zip covers I have seen, and, as I said before, it is intended to only protect the mattress, not add loft or cushion.

Used this mattress protector on an RV short queen memory foam 8in mattress. It fits perfectly, is very easy to put on. Soft and not plastic feeling.

It is nicely comfortable and the size is perfect for our RV Queen mattress topper we bought at the same time. The cover holds the gel pad and hold it onto the mattress.

Too pricey. I felt that because the market for this product was so small that the seller knows that & that is why it is too pricey for what you get. But, it looks good & it fits quite nicely. Time will tell if it keeps out the bed bugs.
