I just got into tree climbing and I've been using a Blake's hitch and nothing else. This foot ascender is amazing. Once I get about 5-10ft up it feeds itself no problem. Using 11.8mm rope.

The Quick Step foot ascender has not let me down….it works great…grabs the rope and advances smoothly, and the rope stays in until you open the grab…I would definitely buy it again.

Like most I started with a knock off to see “how it’d goâ€. Bad idea. Just get the good one(s). More than likely it’ll be best choice. If not just return.

Hands down the best foot ascender out there. Thick strap that holds tight when working in the tree. The cam locker makes it very easy to move the rope in and out. 11.7mm rope tends easily after 10' of slack below.

Today was the first time I used this ascender and it was awesome. It works perfectly and made my climb smooth and fast. I use 1/2 inch rope and as agressive as the teeth look in this ascender there was no noticeable extra ware to my rope. The cam to lock in the rope is simple to use with one hand so getting the rope in and out is easy and safe. This device is solid and a great ascender. It does not come off your rope until you want it to, then it is very simple to do so.
