I straightened out the bent tab and marked 1 1/2" from each end. The 1 1/2" mark is the new tab bend location. I hammered the 1 1/2" part flat, made the bend and folded the end so that the distance from the screw hole to the end of the tab was the same as before, then drilled out the tab. This makes a snug fit on the pipe I'm using. I drilled the new hole on the drill press and had to use clamps or the band can twist (as I discovered).

These work but are very thin, so they will twist up as you tighten them down.

I like that the straps are stainless steel. Good value on the price. But they are not sturdy. I am returning...

Truly you get what you pay for. Good thing I'm only using them to hold plastic rain gutter drains

It’s amazing description says 4 inch pipe holder So you would actually think it would hold a piece of 4 inch pipe not tighten it up and as soon as you put any kind of tight on the clamp the whole clamp just twists around the bolt or your tool that you’re using then you let it go and the pipes on the slightest bit of angle it just slides right out of the clamp because it’s not a 4 inch clamp does not hold a 4 inch pipe at all huge waste of money and very poorly design and quality is garbage
