I broke my foot and having this handy helped me better understand what is in store for me. Funny one of these was not readily available at the Ortho surgeon. Yikes

This is a quality model. The bones are all separate being held together at the joints with wire so they are all flexible except for what I will note next. The talus and calcaneus are screwed together to help form the base of the model but they are separate bones (see attached photos).I recently had foot reconstruction surgery (surgery #5) and I bought this model so that I could better understand the bones of the foot and what the doctor was going to do. While there are plenty of images online that show the bones I wanted something more tangible. Plus, seeing as how foot issues were near and dear to me I just wanted the model for my own amusement.This model is made of good material. It feels quality in the hand. The wires holding the bones together seem to be strong as well and I have not have any issues where I felt the model was going to come apart.I am not a medical person but I believe this a a quality model that would help anyone in need of such.

I needed the model to accurately understand anatomy of the foot, and this model is perfect, it also has the bony prominences and the right curvature to help with understanding the correct anatomy

I had my foot amputated a few years ago - this is the perfect (though quite possibly in poor taste) conversation piece for my home. It’s now a running joke around here about my ability to buy a brand new replacement foot from Amazon! Who knew?After all these years seeing this in my surgeon’s office I decided that I wanted one for my own. The joints are on springs and so one can move them around somewhat. Since I don’t need it to be exactly correct for any professional reason, this foot model is great for my purposes.
