Very strong material. I tested the plastic foot guards and dropped a 3 pound piece of steel from about 3-4 feet. I felt the pressure, but no pain. I know the difference because I have dropped steel on my feet before the protectors and the pain is intense.

They fit on my shoes well and stay in place. They were awkward to put on, but after they were on, they were good.

Wish I was notified of the answers before purchasing. Brenda, was right on, Amazon will not let me work in my boot even with a steel toed cap inside directly on top of my toes, the ton of cushion provided by the boot itself and these (which actually do cover my toes).They are a tiny bit hard to get over the Velcro strap on the boot, if anyone is trying to work while wearing a fracture boot, while trying to protect their foot from further harm, you will have to bend the strap slightly to get it to lace through, once you’ve done so it’s good to go. But yes, be aware that employers can still refuse to accommodate you.

bought these shoe guards for my son, who plays football as a center. I use them to cover his cleats so he doesn't get stepped on, and they worked out perfectly. They fit well and provide great protection. I think I bought too many, but they still did their job perfectly. Five stars!
