I recently started making wire weave jewelry and working with three, or four wires at a time, which are difficult to hold on to. I learned about this clamp from a video tutorial, and I'm really glad I bought it. I used it this weekend to hold three wires while I did some weaving, and it worked great! I'm so glad I bough it!

The hinge is loose, The wood is cracked and unfinished. The felt pads are hot glued on and are not aligned properly. Very unhappy.

It works. I do not know for how long the quality is terrible very rough edges can cause you to get a splinter.

This is great, except for one complaint. The tips aren't leather. That is like, a foam so they will melt under heat. Easy to use and makes holding hot or tiny jewelry easy.

Unlike the picture; the "wedge" used to clamp the vise is wildly the wrong size; (too large) so it barely goes into the clamp. The angle of the wedge is just... wrong. This means it tends to work itself loose under any sort of actual use. That said; the wedge can be recut and adjusted without much fuss; it's just one more thing to need to do.The ends are.. VERY rough. They could have been cut cleaner with a hack-saw. This sucks to handle as the edges are sharp and rough and right near where your hands sit. Nothing a little sanding can't fix; but again, meh.The pads are just EVA foam hot-glued in place. Creative; though I strongly doubt it'll hold up for long in use. Again; easy enough to replace with some leather scraps, but meh.The jaws don't line up - this is a common problem for these units due to the way the hinge works; the parts need to be custom offset to "line up" at the end. This in no way affects operation unless you're attempting to grab a small, round rod; and need to maintain it's rotation: the action will tend to cause such items to twist when clamped. I don't honestly consider this a problem, just pointing it out for others.Overall, as parts, the price seems a little high, but with quite a bit of TLC these will make a great addition to any jewellers toolbox. If you want something polished out of the box that "just works"; buy something else. Otherwise these are "ok".
