I bought this for our 1983 Toyota Sunrader which has the R12 refrigerant. These are direct fit replacements for the refrigerant lines, and will need to be accompanied by a new compressor. This kit is nice because it is color coded for the high and low pressure sides, plus comes with the tools for installation. Very convenient.

The AC in my 1993 F-150 leaked out at the connections at the drier. My model year was the last for R-12 refrigerant, and it was either find R-12 or convert to R-134A even though it's not as cold. R-12 is nearly prohibitively expensive, so I've opted to convert the system to something more readily available. This kit is needed to make that conversion, as the ports between the two refrigerants are different sizes. The Schrader valves included are a good add just in case you need them.

After having expertly ruined the high side fitting included as part of a mobile air conditioning conversion kit, I needed another and selected this Aracey branded kit.The conversion fittings look well made and would certainly have fit the system. Their including extra valve cores and a tool to remove them was a nice touch, even though the tool was slightly bent and had some sharp metal spurs protruding from one side of the turning handle. The only problem is the gaskets. They don't fit tightly inside each valve assembly and will fall out. It would be hard to avoid having one of them getting in the way of the existing service fitting that you are converting, and possibly causing a leak.I spent a little time trying to get the gasket back in place and gave up. It seems just a little too small.

this does not fit a 1984 chevrolet c10 pickup, would work on the old york and tecumseh compressors that had the same size high and low fittings
