This product is freaking amazing. Turns a regular can light into a regular light fixture. Everything in this kid is included that you can imagine there’s endless adjustments and you just can’t find anything like this locally highly recommend it.

The parts in the kit are of good quality. In particular the ceiling medallion impressed me. One would expect to get a cheap plastic disk, but the one you receive is heavy steel with what looks like powder coating. The internal legs can be adjusted, but it would have been nice if the range was slightly longer. One of my cans appeared slightly oversized for this kit.I used it for an IKEA light fixture and I needed to use the slotted circular plate that came with the light. Unfortunately the screws in the kit that hold the slotted plate is slightly too large, which required some filing of the IKEA plate. This may be an issue of metric vs imperial measurements. Just something to keep in mind if you use it with IKEA products.

I had an R6 recessed can light that I wanted to change to a fixture, but because there are 3 mounting screws in a triangle absolutely none of the other straight bar type attachment points would work. It has really good adjustability too.I didn't need the socket or surround ring for my round fixture that covers the R6 hole, but everything looks high quality.

I used this product very useful to change one of the recessed lights to a chandelier light. I bought this package because I had no idea what parts were needed individually, so I would say the good functionality of this purchase is that the whole process is in one package for the ignorant person regarding the electric work . The installation was not hard. It was just a first- time kind of deal. One thing I would remember would be the new light fixture needs to be big enough to cover the recessed light round hole. I was lucky this time. lol

First the initial package came incomplete missing the medallions. Hard to install and the wires are too short - electrician had to use extra wires to complete project .
